I actually finished this piece on Liam’s birthday just like I intended, but I only just now got around to iron it and take a proper picture. I listened to Liam’s album while stitching and really loved the different purples.

LP1 Charity Stitch Along

Woohoo! I found inspiration and time to create the cross stitch design for Liam’s solo album in time for his birthday! I WILL DO IT IN PURPLE AND I AM VERY EXCITED!

I’ll share my stitching progress and I would love it, if some of you would join me and stitch it, too! The pattern is simple and fun -  it doesn’t matter, if you are an advanced stitcher or a total beginner. You only need three colours of your choice and some countable fabric.

Please use the tag #lp1stitchalong or @ me, if you post something. Even if you only do a little text post or whatever - I want to see them all!

How to join in:

Please donate 5 $/€/£ to the charity drive for Liam which supports “The Way - Wolverhampton Youth Zone”.

Please include your URL or tell me beforehand under which name you are going to donate. Let me know about your donation (my ask box and my chat are open) and I will send you the pattern via email.

About the pattern:

The finished piece measures about 18.5 x 18.5 cm on 14 count aida cloth.   Please note that the colour choice is not defined - just pick your three favorite tones of purple.

I included an alternative version without “Both Ways” for everyone who would like to skip that song.

LP1 Charity Stitch Along

Baby, we should say it all, say it all There's beauty in these broken walls, broken walls ... First song is done!

I treated myself to some new embroidery floss. I normally do the stitch alongs with what I find in my stash but this time I really wanted the colours to be like I envisioned them while creating the pattern. I’m working with ANCHOR 94, 102 and 110. The violet is gorgeous! What colours did you choose?
