So what's next?
We're just over halfway through the month of September. I'm really glad I finished V as quickly as I did, and it's safe to say I only managed to do so thanks to the wonderful help I received.
I've had a playthrough of Final Fantasy Tactics on hiatus for a while now. I started it up in July and am almost done. But "almost" doesn't cut it. I need to finish, mostly because I failed to finish a Tactics playthrough last December and I really don't want to skimp out on one of my all-time favorite games yet again. Luckily, things are starting to come together in regards to plot. Many secrets are starting to unravel, and I'll do my best to analyze everything that's been going on from beginning to end.
For reasons best left unexplained, I feel it's necessary for me to attempt Final Fantasy III DS in the month of October. It was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played. I say "attempt" because the game is really, really difficult. After over one hundred hours, I never actually beat the final boss. Nevertheless, it's really important to me that I do this.
I've been getting a lot more requests lately for VIII. One of the reasons I'm a little hesitant to jump into an VIII playthrough is that I did finally manage to get a job. It's gonna be a brutal overnight shift, so I'm not sure how that's going to affect my ability to manage this blog. I'd be much more comfortable covering a game I know inside and out when things are a little unsteady in real life. It's as they say: real life comes first. For those of you who really want to see Final Fantasy VIII right now, I highly recommend rosie-plays. She's a VIII veteran. She's played the game before and does a fantastic job of analyzing the plot. Also, she's got an awesome sense of humor. Seriously, go check out her blog.
With all that having been said, expect me to resume my Tactics playthrough very soon. Like, tomorrow morning. Or maybe tonight. And then, in October, III DS!
