Q: Today, in the first game, WE decided to use Swain and Maokai. When you were bringing out this combination, were you concerned that your team didn’t have enough burst?

Xiye: Our mid lane Swain was mainly used to counter the opposing team. We thought our team didn’t have enough damage output, which is why we chose Swain as a midlane counter.

Q: We realized that after the Vietnamese jungler Sofm joined Snake, your team takes down Baron much more quickly. Is this Sofm’s playstyle?

Snake Coach: Actually, Baron isn’t something we take down early in every single match. In fact, we don’t play like this in our normal scrims either. It was just an impromptu decision this game. So it wasn’t a planned out battle strategy. It’s not Sofm’s personal play style either.

Q: In Patch 6.11, Irelia and Jax are about appear again. However, they haven’t appeared too often in LPL yet. Do you think this has to do with LPL not understanding the patch changes very well?

Snake Coach: I disagree. We communicate quite often with many Korean teams. We feel that tanky champions perform better in a team setting. After the champions you spoke about got buffed, they can be used in game. However, at the same time, they’re easily countered with champions like Trundle. That’s why you still need to look at the team composition. LCK has already been contesting over this. When one team picks Jax, the other team would immediately counter.

Q: I have another question regarding this patch. Swain’s damage output has been nerfed. Why did WE pick Swain twice today for their midlane?

WE Coach: In the first game, Swain is very effective against Viktor. In the second game, it was because of the feedback from the team. They said that Swain is capable of pressuring mid. That’s why we choose Swain again.

Q: Today, you banned your opponent’s Lissandra and Vladimir. However, you let Ryze go. In the game, how did you prepare yourself against this?

WE Coach: Because Snake’s Tank is really good with Lissandra. If he also takes TP, we would be severely threatened. For us, we could counter Ryze in lane by using Swain. That’s why we didn’t ban it.

Pyl: Marin is the shot caller.

Q: What about Acorn?

Pyl: When Acorn plays, the shot calling is more distributed and we’ll communicate with basic Chinese.

Q: Right now, LGD doesn’t have a good score. What will you do to change this situation around?

Q: A question for Pyl. What does it mean for you as a team to win for the first time?

Q: What are your thoughts behind your BP?

Zzitai: Because there are lot of strong champions in the patch, there are one or two, two or three, or even all of the strong champions are left unbanned. Our players can play pretty effectively with any OP champions and have a high win rate. That’s why we try to get as many as we can.

Q: Your top, mid and jungle synergy was really good today. From now on, what type of team play style would you utilize in your future games?

Zzitai: We liked to focus on our top, mid and jungle since the beginning. However, you still need to look at the composition. If bottom lane is able to get a strong champion, then we will focus bottom lane.

Q: A question for Kid. How do you look at your Lee Sin verses mlxg’s Nidalee in the first game? At that time, why did you counter jungle their red buff?

Kid: Because I know that he has a habit of counter jungling my buff after getting his own buff. At that time, our bottom lane told us that they’re unable to push lane. Kid: Because I was Mundo and we also had Kalista. Having these two champions take Baron means that I can take up the damage from Baron and that it’s hard to steal with a Kalista there. Our jungle vision was also really good. We can see when the other side was coming. If we really can’t take Baron, engaging a team fight is also okay. However, the other side came over a bit slow. Q: Everyone can see that your Mundo is very effective. Why do you think that’s the case?

Kid: Mundo is a champion that I’ve been playing a lot in this patch. The second most would be Graves. Other jungler champions include Elise and Lee Sin. However, I’m not too good with them. I just really like to play Mundo.

Q: What did you learn today after jungling?

Kid: In the first game, our thought process wasn’t very clear. We played really dangerously, that’s why we lost. In the next two games, we played in a much more stable manner. We focused on protecting our mid and top and slowly scaled our champions. When it was time to team fight, it felt really easy. Our thought process was much more clear. In the first game, my mind was bit chaotic and I didn’t play very well.

Zzitai: First of all, you need to make sure to scale well. After that, just make sure to land your E on someone during team fights. Because to be honest, this champion is considered an easier champion. It’s not hard to play her. Just focus on scaling and don’t do anything reckless.

Q: A question for Rookie. How do you feel you performed this game?

Kid: I’m not suited to take on the role of shot calling. Everyone speaks. However, the way I communicate is different from when I played AD. Now, I just warn my teammates when it’s dangerous. When I see the opponent jungler, I will also tell them. I just always look at the mini map. So it’s different from before.

Q: I have a question for iG’s bot lane. If you didn’t get Kalista, then you wouldn’t be that strong. Do you have plans on changing this in the future?

Time: If we didn’t get such a strong combination bottom lane, then we wouldn’t be able to pressure them so hard. I wouldn’t be as confident without Kalista. Hopefully, I will be able to play other champions confidently like I do with her.

Endless: Our entire play style lean towards playing stable. Under situations where we’re not sure we’ll get an advantage, we won’t engage rashly.

Q: During week one, week two and maybe during preparations before the season began, there was a time when VG wasn’t very stable in their performance. You were able to become more stable recently.  What changes occurred within your team that allowed you to enter this period of stability?

Endless: I think… well because we have new members now, right? In the beginning, we didn’t have a good rapport yet. You need some time to go through that period first. That’s why I believe that we’ll become better and better.
