spare thoughts on the demon ma'am??🤲
zombie is a literal MASTERPIECE. from the actual song to the lyrics to their performance of it all, with the verses actually mimicking the feeling that they’re talking about and the apathetic almost monotone tone that they sing in. idk even from the very first listen it really got to me, that’s exactly the feeling that i’ve had at some of my lowest points in life and they just GET IT. both in english and korean, the lyrics differ a little bit, but the feeling is the same and they kill it both times.
the other songs i haven’t listened to as much yet but:
day and night i LOVE. the intro is super fun but then they hit you with their decaying relationship lyrics sdfjkl but just in general my ears love the sound, it’s very easy to listen to i feel and i love it
tick tock is another great example of day6′s brilliance sdkjf i love the guitar in the background (or is it the bass lmao) during the verses if that makes sense
love me or leave me: i know this one is a fan favourite from what i’ve heard people say and i totally get it tbh it’s very energetic and you can feel the frustration through the music. i feel like sungjin’s voice fits the chorus very well!! and the bridge is so gooooooooooood
stop: another one whose intro i loooove. it feels a bit more rock than some of the others which is totally a good thing, jae in the beginning?????? also another one in which you can clearly hear the emotions through the music like damn they’re mad at me 😳 the tat-tat-ta-tat-tat thing
1 to 10: this one was probably the one that stood out to me the least when i first listened to it and it’s still objectively amazing so.....that says it all. i still love how it builds from the bridge back to the chorus
afraid: you think it’s gonna be more ballad-y than the others at the beginning and i mean it kinda is but then the chorus is so powerful and full of feeling :((
