L.R. Reflection
Thinking back to this assignment this is how I truly feel about it. I really never knew there could be so many different components to putting together a paper. So many different ways to make it better, to elaborate on your argument or purpose for the paper. This was the hardest assignment for me throughout the whole semester. I of course had no idea what a literature review was and by the name it sounded like it was a summary of literature pieces to contribute to an argument. So yes it technically is just that but the best way I can put it is “summaries on steroids” or something cuz this was really tough to meet the criteria of the grading rubric. I know that all the work and time I put into this assignment was not enough. All I trade and the way I attempted to answer my Lit Review questions in my paper just didn't come out the way I wanted. I’m still not sure how I could make this specific paper any better. I learned so much about this assignment but I have to say I probably just was not as into the topic I went with. In the future I'm sure I will have more assignments similar to this one and I do know now that I need to site my source and give credit where its due as well as be clear on the point I'm trying to make. I want to own a business someday and since my Literature Review was on that topic I will go on to use this to write paper for my own use. So I am hoping that now since we are done with the semester hopefully when I have a similar assignment I will know what to do the second time around. I know now that I just was not as organized in the order that I put this paper together. It definitely obstructed my paper and the direction that I wanted to take. Overall I just needed to have a better review in the writing center. I know that if I could have spent more time in there I would have walked out with a nicely revised rough draft to help me meet the criteria for the assignment. I do have to say that I thought I picked up a good understanding from the readings on Posing Meaningful questions and thats why my questions turned out fine within the first try. So that chapter really did help me. When Ms. Villa said this would be the hardest assignment of the semester she wasn't kidding and I am so glad it was the only difficult assignment.
