You know what's really freakking annoying?

So I started my freshman year with warnings about the school's bassoons, and when I got it anything below the low F was unplayable for me. Then I went to my bassoon tutor who's been playing bassoon for over 50 years, and he could barely get a note below low F out of it. Then when my music instructor had the girl who played this bassoon play it for him she could hit all of those notes.

I just feel so frusterated and upset- like I know I'm not a great bassoonist, but shouldn't I be able to get those notes out? Last year I could whip out those notes with no problem (with my old bassoon) and now I can barely play them.
