i know i’ve spoken about this before but the greater people need to know. spoketech s6 finale where minute ‘betrays’ the empire and joins spoke for the end of the season

spoke finally gets someone who has seen him, who knows him, understands him, but ultimately, chooses him over what they think “should be” for lifesteal (i will never get over how raw and open spoke was with minute SECONDS after minute said he’d never join him. he’s so desperate—)

minute’s side is a bit more complicated. he’s given essentially the same choice as clown was given at the end of s5: help in war and destruction or fight for “peace” (which then led to pmc betrayal…. etc) obviously not the chungpire goal (which is another can of worms) but minute, in contrast to clown, chooses peace (again!!!!)

this is not only veryy telling of minute and who he definitively wants to be in lifesteal but also allows him to make up with clown at the end of the season due to being teamed which then led to apoc…. and that’s like the fourth can of worms

BUT!!!! think about if minute joined spoke!!!! its simultaneously so fascinating for him! he’s giving in to “no peace on lifesteal” and he’s objectively not even fully betraying his team for this. spoke WAS a part of the empire. i feel like that’s forgotten. minute was choosing between his ally and his other allies (sure spoke was going to use exploits but…!)

this also has the absolutely delicious consequence of being perceived as a betrayal by the rest of the chungpire (specifically with a focus on clown, apologies for the clowntech undertone but frankly we can not deny the impact pmc and clown had on minutes shaping as a lifestealer) and it directly makes him an enemy of them.

anyways i’m giggling and putting them together like dolls because for spoke this is yay!!!!! im finally chosen!!! i have someone!!! and for minute it’s morality trolley problem conflict number 5

hii i figured i should probably post my writing here :) snippet of my last minrose fic!

tw injury & blood

“You’ll need stitches,” Minute says slowly, passing her a towel for Hannah to lay her head on, “I can do them, or. Um. I can ask Bacon, if you’d prefer.” His chest aches at the thought of leaving her like this, even if it’s to trusted hands. He knows the two of them are close–closer than him and her, at the very least. If the pain nestled deep in his ribs is what makes her feel safe, though, that’s something he can live with. As long as she’s living too.

Hannah looks at him funny, almost smiling despite how her insides are glistening with blood in the bathroom light. Minute fumbles under her gaze. “Bacon would strangle me if he saw I got hurt. I trust you can stitch me up, Minute.”

Trust, she trusts you, she trusts you to be helpful, his brain repeats happily, sticking onto the word and keeping it like a prayer. He nods, hoping she can’t tell how the comment makes him glow with pride. At least, he would hope he was being subtle, if his stupid tail didn’t start wagging simply at the word trust. His face burns. He tucks his head down and gets to work to distract from the way all of his blood is rushing to colour his cheeks. There’s a task at hand, and it isn’t the way his heart leapt when she said something that proves the pack part of his brain victorious.

He’s working. He can work. He gets lost in the blood and flesh of it all, cleaning and disinfecting, fixing the tangle of skin. There are shreds hanging down–it's the messiest type of cuts, but they’re still not that deep. The muscle underneath is visible, through the swamp of red, and fortunately not in tatters. Hannah’s just laying silently, her jaw clenched and sweat pouring down her face. Minute’s never seen someone stay so quiet, so still. He's never seen her bite at her lip so hard she bleeds.

“You’re real cute,” She says, out of nowhere. Minute pauses. His hands are soaked in red. It’s the first time they’ve been sitting close enough to touch, and he’s coloured with her ichor. Hannah smiles at him like they’re somewhere simpler where being close isn’t an open invitation for death to follow. She’s so pretty that for a second, Minute thinks he might be able to forget where they are. He could pretend he could trust her without it being a gun to the back of his head, bullets breathing down his neck. He wonders if it would be worth it to just let her, if the seconds of bliss would be worth her killing him.

“Do you–have you lost too much blood?” He stutters, his elbow knocking into where her knees have folded up, bruises facing up to the ceiling. She seems stable. Her breathing has steadied out, her brow has relaxed, her skin isn’t lined with goosebumps. When he reaches for her hand, it isn’t trembling, it’s not slick with sweat.

Hannah shrugs, still smiling. Minute notices she still has sharp canines, despite not having any wolf in her. He wonders if all fairies have such sharp teeth. He wonders if he closed the distance if Hannah would kiss him back. His knee is against her hip, and his elbow is still resting barely a hair away from her skin. He starts to massage her palm, just to feel the blood flow, to memorize the tendons and bone beneath the muscles and calluses. ....

minute is a wolf slowly recognizing chungpire as his pack and hannah is attempting to hide her injury .. cue bloody minrose feelings realization! :P
