Louis Tomlinson is celebrating today after learning that his Livestream on Saturday night (last night) was the biggest male solo artist live stream of the year. Louis topped all other male solo artists in 2020 globally, which is quite a feat. His streamed concert Live From London has so far sold over 160k tickets globally. Louis thanked his fans saying: “That was incredible. Thank you to everyone that watched. Can’t wait to finally get back on the road”. how louis tomlinson made me fall in love with him in an hour and sixteen minutes

i gotta say one of the first things that stood out to me as i started his livestream was how good it looked, and this view was reinforced time and again as i progressed through the whole show. the lighting, the set changes and the backing up band, everything was impeccable. i especially loved the short pauses between songs as it gave me to absorb the one that he had just sung while preparing mentally for the next one (and yes i needed preparation as his songs hit you where you're vulnerable but only to show you how strong you can be when you acknowledge and embrace them). the whole show exuded so much power which was very apparent from the first frame itself wherein he walked in with the red lightning lighting up everything and went straight to singing a 'live in the moment' anthem. louis' voice was something so distinct and evocative and emotive from any of the singers i've heard before that he automatically had he hooked, not to mention his amazing storytelling through his (gender-neutral!) lyrics accompanied by some really great melodies. the vulnerability he was able to convey with only his voice during two of us was heart-wrenching. i, being a new fan at that point, did not know the heartbreaking story behind it yet but his emotive voice did not fail to move me to tears. the two set backgrounds that he chose from his music videos were very well thought of (obviously, it's louis, that man thinks of every single thing). the few times he did talk directly to us was to thank us (twice!!) and to introduce his new tune which is another amazing tune from him. the camera changes and the lighting was flawless not to mention the phenomenal band. the violinists brought a flair not seen before and the bass and guitar players along with the drummer (and anyone i'm unfortunately missing out!) absolutely shredded their instruments and brought out the best in louis and brought the whole show together as one. the casual fun chemistry of louis with his band was so fun to witness. the last song, with all his fan videos was a very sweet way to wrap up his stunning show and to include all of the fans in what would otherwise have been a normal broadcast. in conclusion, his livestream was a perfect intro to his music, his persona and him in general. go watch it if you haven't already (what are you doing with your life otherwise?). and oh you've already watched it? go watch it again, i know you want to.
