Music wasn't as good as the show. It was technically great, but I thought it left a lot to be desired. It sounded pretty, but it wasn't interesting.
Overall, a good movie. As spin-off movies are, it was not as good as the show. Their personalities were off and the dialogue was surface level, but I liked the plot and art.
while I am a big fan of the Blood mutating Simon into something similar to the Shadowman, I can't help but imagine him like this:
somehow the tree saved him, encased his body as it emerged from him, used him as soil. it recedes, back into a man, a walking tree with flesh. with a flower arm.
just spent 10 minutes playing a song that takes up two pages. and as soon as i touched the piano, i knew i was actually playing. it wasn't my technical best, but musically it was far beyond what i've done previously with this piece. i love playing music so much.
in the public park straight up improv'ing it. and by it, let's just say. a speech about class solidarity and about fighting up instead of left and right.
