Chiara’s the devil who hogs the blankets when she gets a chance, but they normally sleep snuggled up real close, so it's normally not that big a problem!! That being said, Lua’s much cuddlier than Chiara is (at first)!! When they first got together, Chiara typically preferred having her own space, but Lua’s a huge cuddlebug and would unconsciously scoot closer to her whenever they were close by!! (I personally like to imagine it started bc Chiara was fond of horror/thriller movies and Lua couldn’t watch without clinging to her arm dfsj) Chiara tolerated it at first, then she warmed up to them and grew to like it, and now she’s about as cuddly as they are when they’re together!!
9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)?
Chiara does, most of the time!! She has a quicker morning routine than Lua and so she normally has more time to make them both some coffee. Lua tends to make tastier coffee tho--they have particular tastes for their coffee (i.e. Lot’sa of sweetener and a fair amount of chocolate) so they’re a bit better at it than Chiara is.

They both prefer sweets, but compared to Chiara, Lua’s sweet tooth is legendary.
27. Who takes a long shower/ Who sings in the shower?
Lua takes longer showers, and they sing during!! They like to practice new songs in the shower, it’s quite soothing (and the acoustics aren’t half-bad)!! They think they can use songs to keep track of how long they shower, but...... it backfires quite a bit v.v I think Chiara might hum a tune in the shower (maybe the same song she heard Lua singing from the hallway) but not quite singing outright!

Lua started off as a self-insert before gradually taking control of their own life (which is why most of the early info posts about them are super outdated gshj)
Their name is based on my usual screen name for mobile games (Lua the Crow) and I originally didn’t intend to make a fully-fleshed character for HPHM, but then I saw everyone in the community making fun and funky MCs and wanted to make one myself too!!
That being said, the Corbeau family got their name when Gary, Lua’s dad, ran away from home and legally changed his name upon moving to London to distance himself from his family.
Lua’s trans and non-binary (she/her or they/them) and had a brief story arc I never wrote about them figuring out their gender identity and being open with it (naturally it concluded with them deciding to present themselves the way they want and simply beat up anyone who gives them shit for it)
They have like..... three whole symbolic motifs
Cats: Lua’s associated with cats, partially because of their beloved cat B.J. (it’s short for Better Jacob), partially because they can turn into a cat, but mostly because they just kinda act like one?? Standoffish and aloof? Strange love language?? Absolute fearlessness and/or unawareness of danger??? Lua’s so fuckin catlike dude I’m serious. Plus they’re also tiny and easy to pick up and snuggle (and won’t admit it but they love it). There’s also the fact that Lua’s range of facial expressions only features three: Angry Scowl, Evil Grin, and “>:3c”
Crows: Lua’s surname is supposed to mean “crow” in french but I got that off google translate so take it with a grain of salt. Crows are harbingers of death and misfortune, and the noise they make is rather eerie and disconcerting, and Lua is........... like that. Aside from that tho, crows are generally intelligent and funky lil dudes! They’re very social and surprisingly friendly, and if you can get past their creepy appearance, they’re kind of adorable! If Lua could cast a corporeal patronus, it’d take the form of a crow.
Moon: Just the usual tarot motif lmao. Has to do with their namesake (”moon” in Portuguese). They’re more aligned with the reverse meaning, being Release of Fear, Repressed Emotion, Inner Confusion. Take those as you will dsfgsh. There’s also something fitting them about the night sky, being that they’re a night owl and generally prefer sneaking out to do things in the dark (both illicit and otherwise)
Lua’s relationship with Merula is interesting complex but also been described as kinda ridiculous dsfgsh so I’mma keep it short; they were really similar in all the wrong ways. They could have been a wlw power couple if they didn’t enable each other’s worst habits. They were both arguably really shitty people and only start to grow into better individuals after they had a huge fight and broke up at the end of Y5.

Example? They got along best whenever they sang together, because music is a strange form of magic and they were closest whenever they were in harmony. (uwu)
Also yea Lua is an avid musician and singer and I lowkey headcanon that wizards can lightly imbue music with magic based on their intent

-They try to be a Dark Type Trainer (they’re basically Marnie except their older brother is an asshole) and they do have a team that’s Mostly Dark
-However they have a Slyveon for some reason and it confuses everyone
-(They were tryna evolve him into an Umbreon but he loved them so much he wound up becoming a Sylveon one day and it was so touching Lua cried)
-Jacob is here but he lives in another region and he’s an unofficial “gym leader” and is called the Trash Man because his pokemon team consists of random pokemon he picked up before and trained to peak perfection-
-He has a Muk named “Schmuck,” a Trubbish named “Rubbish,” a Stunky named “Spunky,” and three Crobats, Cronut, Donut & Wonut, each one faster than the last, and his philosophy is “If I can’t win, I just won’t lose!” which means he fights normally until he gets down to his last three pokemon, the Crobats, and just abuses their speed stat by constantly using agilty-increasing moves to make them untouchable
Lua is has really Uncanny Luck bc when Jacob la Corbeau realized how deep in the shits he was getting, he cast luck charms on each of his family members before he vanished
1) The one on Lua’s dad was dispelled when the Department of Magical Law Enforcement wiped his memory and dumped him back into muggle society
2) The one on their mom was depleted during her sentence in Azkaban
3) The one on Lua tho??? It started siphoning off their own magical power to sustain itself and has been running in the background ever since they were nine
it manifests subtly but noticeably in Lua’s daily life; things just kind of seem to work out for them and they find themselves in good fortune all the time. They’re great at coin tosses and dice rolls, they tend to guess answers correctly, spells seem to miss them just barely in dueling club, etc etc.
They’re mostly little things, but they do still take a small toll on Lua’s energy, since they’re unconsciously casting little spells all the time. It happens so often that the uncanny luck charm contributes to them being tired all the time, alongside their frequent all-nighters and the usual depression.
Sometimes Lua inadvertently causes “miracles” where truly improbable shit just happens in their favor, but usually only in the most dire situations. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it really wears Lua out and they tend to pass out for upwards of twelve hours or so afterwards
Feeling out of their element. Lua needs to feel confident and in control of themself at all times, and if, at any time, they feel like they’re not good enough at something they’re doing, they get really self-conscious and anxious about it. They have a (unusual) comfort zone, and get very anxious about stepping out of it.
👾what was my muse’s childhood bogeyman?
Ironically, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Growing up, Lua’s mother never kept her wizard heritage a secret from her husband, and thus their marriage was wholly against the International Statute of Secrecy. Though the laws about muggle-wizard relations typically weren’t very heavily-enforced, the risk of being forcibly separated still persisted, and Lua and Jacob were taught growing up to keep their family’s secrets from potentially making its way to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

I had an Idea in my head for the longest time about Lua and tarot cards--they’re associated with The Moon because of their name fsjih and I had this design in mind ever since Lua became a Proper OC, so here we are!!!
