OC_tober Dnd Edition Day 11 What a way to get around Luca's chimeric body! Changeling with a Teifling appearance, plus artificer prosthetic bird legs! And artificer makes sense to them. They're regularly a scientist! It works out so well I really like how this one turned out. And to have even more fun with it, I gave Luca Thomas Edison's conductor gloves from the Netflix movie America The Motion Picture. Because those things sucked to draw but I wanted a fun easter egg!

Nothing helps me get out of an art block than drawing OCs in different outfits. This time cosplay! Luca's favorite pastime is fashion in general but that also moves over into the cosplay genre quite a bit, and their chimeric mismatched body isn't gonna stop them. Got a handful of friends to give me some good cosplay suggestions We got The Gentleman from Critical Role, Bakugo Katsuki from My Hero Academia, Chell from Portal, Symmetra from Overwatch, Papyrus from Undertale, Nyx from Hades, Moira from Overwatch, and hilariously Luca from Vocaliod

They're quick sketches but I wanted to do this before I forget! I did the "Let your characters draw themself" art challenge goin' on Twitter! It was pretty interesting figuring out how these guys would draw. Derek and Kalmin were easy. Derek only knows the chibi version of him 'cause he was taught how to do it by Kee. He's the one who draws those Derek Was Here attacks. Kalmin is a big o' cheater and just copied the style I regularly draw in. Nickolas technically would have renaissance training on how to draw a human, but he hasn't done it in a while so he's rusty. Luca is interesting 'cause in theory they should at least be able to draw something since they do a lot of fashion/cosplay, but that's not really the case here. Yoyo's not terrible, she does a lot of scientific botanist drawings and other detailed illustrations for her spellbook but that really doesn't include people, but at least she knows how to shade. And lastly there's Azalea who's just tryin' her best and having a blast! Template by @gruepyonart

Decided to do some Luca practice just to have fun with their funky bird legs. Then of course I decided to give them all sorts of outfits ‘cause they just really like fashion as a side hobby. If I do this again I’m absolutely gonna draw them in cosplay. Another one of their hobbies!

OCtober Day 2 - Latest OC

Two months ago I revealed Luca Shim to my Keeper cast! They’ve been a concept in my head for a while, I just had to go through a lot of trial and error to finish their design. They’re going to be the companion character for my main character, Derek, all the way at the end of the book and I can’t wait to actually flesh out their interactions

And here’s Emmet’s fantastic partner!  This is Luca Shim, an Italian Korean non binary Crossmite. Meaning they’re both a Muneris and a Creperum from family lineage. For most their life they stick to their Muneris side of the family until, through interesting circumstances, end up working with Derek. It’ll be an interesting moral dilemma for them that I’m interested in exploring. As for their fun Oloris, I wanted to make them really chimeric and proud of it. They can shape shift into the four animals that they have on their body: a ram, a polar bear, a lion, and a crane. And their animal forms is more of a translucent light red form rather than the real thing. It’s not use often, but when working with Derek they’ll have to protect themselves in a pinch

Luca’s still in their early stages of development, but I’m going to make sure they’re going to be a reoccurring character to draw in the future

So nice for the movie Luca to be coming out when I’m developing this character. Real great
