Rest in peace former LucasArts 3D artist Ti-Ning Kwa.
Former LucasArts 3D artist Ti-Ning Kwa has sadly passed away. Leaving LucasArts in 2003 after working as a World Artist and Additional Texture on Star Wars: Episode I - Jedi Power Battles (2000, PlayStation and Dreamcast) and concept artist on both Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (2001, Windows) and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds - Saga (2002, Windows), he went on to become best known for his work on The Sims, starting with The Urbz: Sims in the City (2004, GameCube) and ending with The Sims 4: Moschino Stuff (2020, Windows). He compiled 80 credits across 61 games, and will be missed. Per Mathur and Kwa's family, Kwa got his start in games at Dynamix, where he provided artwork for 1998's Starsiege Tribes and 2001's Tribes 2. When the studio went defunct that year, he and other Tribes team members went over to LucasArts. There, he did concept and world art for Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles.
Ubisoft e lo sviluppatore Massive Entertainment pubblicheranno la versione PC di Star Wars Outlaws tramite Steam il 21 Novembre, hanno annunciato le aziende.
Lucasfilm.com has sat down with Lucasfilm Games' Craig Derrick to discuss the upcoming video game "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle."
Lucasfilm.com has sat down with Lucasfilm Games' Craig Derrick to discuss the upcoming video game "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle." “For an Indiana Jones adventure to truly shine,” explains Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick, “it needs a globe-trotting journey with a strong historical element—something grounded in reality yet wrapped in mystique or relevance. With The Great Circle, Todd Howard and the team at MachineGames struck gold by centering the story on a real-world mystery: a number of ancient sites around the world align on a perfect, unbroken circle, yet the reason behind this alignment has eluded people for centuries.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e17p2IVDUU As Derrick admits, the concept “blew my mind,” and he was soon diving into research of his own. “The more I learned, the more fascinated I became with the idea,” he notes, not unlike Indy’s own fascination that drives the story of The Great Circle. “We delved into what kind of MacGuffin could be linked to all these sites and how each location could be authentically represented within the context of Indy’s life. This process of exploration and discovery fueled the world-building of the game from the very beginning, ensuring that each aspect of the story was both true to the character and engaging for the player.” For the full interview, head over to the Lucasfilm site.
