adam despises and i mean DESPISES wasting food. he'll get snippy with anyone who chooses to do so. an unfinished meal is a sign of privilege to him; he hasn't seen a fridge fully stocked since he began living on his own. he'll eat expired food, food he dropped on the ground. he'll eat whatever scraps he gets his hands on. and even though he still sees his ribcage in the mirror, he doesn't have a doctor to tell him how to fix it.

lawrence, of course, doesn't entirely get this. he's never seasoned a hot meal with tears of gratitude.

ever think about how the Saw Police only knew adam by his first name for a time? even lawrence didn't ever hear his last name. there'd have been millions of adams in the city. if a self-made nobody like him disappeared, he'd be as good as erased from history

i like to think all the Jigsaw Crew have their own sort of calling cards to let you know who helped with that trap. like certain indicators that can usually let you know who's behind what

-amanda's stick closest to john's M.O., hence represent the purest form of his ideology without the brain tumor (except for yknow. the rigged ones). traps involving amanda tend to be very by-the-book "live or die, make your choice", with the responsibility placed solely on the victim.

-mark's have either security cameras or peepholes in most cases. the traps are as much a sadistic spectacle as they are divine punishment, and he prefers karmic justice over teaching a lesson. he also has a tendency toward multi-person traps, and has a higher death rate on average.

-lawrence's involvement is purely contractual, hence why he always assists in traps rather than planning them on his own. precise medical procedures or measurements indicate his presence. it's really hardly different from his work as a doctor; it's a job to be done.

and as a bonus for apprentice adam truthers:

-adam is the most behind the scenes of all apprentices. mostly, he's responsible for leaving behind photos of the victims' wrongdoings—black and white pictures at the scene indicate adam was involved. he's best described as a bleeding heart, hence he feels the need to justify his actions to those at the crime scene.
