*Synth leaps back drawing out her guitar which functions like a battle axe too!* Synth: DON'T- do that! please- *she put the instrument away!*

The Light Eater backs away. "sorry." it squeaks out. "Just, don't take a picture, please... also please call my species 'Lucem'. My personal name is 'Avtug', which means 'Night'."

"I was not aware of your species' sapience." Blacky responds, after regaining his composure. "so I apologize."

"I just don't want your tribe or any of these guys hunting my kind down..." Avtug whimpers, backing away more, getting ready to sprint outta here.

Synth: so why're we backing away from it then???

"Because I don't wanna scare them!" Blacky whispers. "Do you have a camera of any sort?"

"...you know it's rude to take pictures without consent?" The Light Eater says, suddenly a lot closer to everyone, which makes Blacky jump.

Synth: THE HECK IS A LIGHT EATER?????? *she whispered- *

The Light Eater's ear twitches, which makes Blacky usher everyone backwards.

"It is a myth from the Void." Blacky explains, whispering "The Void beyond the 'edge' is covered in colorful crystals that emit light, and the legends said a timid and shy species use that area to store light they eat and package up from the Osega. Though most of us had started to change our belief that the light crystals were instead condensed light from black holes, the legends still remained. We call them Light Eaters, though it was said their proper names were 'The Lucem'. In how they store the light, they use the wax they produce on their backs to encase condensed light. The wax makes them look like they're kinda melty."

Synth: *ears perk up scans for sounds and she starts sniffing! trying to locate it!*

Blacky looks around before pausing and going much slower. "A Light Eater... I didn't think they were real..." he whispers.

In a beam of sunlight that's still hidden, a strange creature is basking. It is mostly black, with something that looks like a beak, but it flops like loose skin. Standing on its hind legs with its front ones looking like a mix of legs and arms, and it appears to have a very waxy texture.
