It'd been ten years and counting since she'd last been back. Somehow she felt as if she were stuck in a time warp where she was still that teenage girl making psychic jokes and crushing on boys. Things hadn't really changed except maybe the way she looked, in her eyes there was still the sagely sea of knowledge she could offer her friends, she had grown a little taller but still remained the petite girl she had always been. She had traded her lipgloss for lipstick, wore heels more often, and fashioned a few suits here and there. Grown up, Bonnie Bennett was grown up.
The houses lined up in their dreary state and somehow things remained unchanged. A small smile curved on her lips as she made her way towards Caroline's old house. The two had moved back in at around the same time and they were just getting back to catching up. She still wondered if Caroline's mom was still playing cop. Bonnie rang the doorbell.
She watched as the door slung open and Caroline's face had changed, in a way it was surreal. She wasn't the teenage girl she was, the one who tried to make a competition with Elena and still ended up short somehow. New and improved Caroline as she called herself. "Care!" She exclaimed hugging the bubbly blonde.
Bonnie entered into the timeless house before sitting on the couch. She almost felt like a stranger, uninvited even if that weren't true. She knew they were both busy with their lives, trying to make careers for themselves, and to pay of all the debts they had accumulated from college. It was almost as if the years had flown by. "So who's starting first with catch up?"
"Hold up, I'm having a vision that in an alternate reality we're fighting off the supernatural." She joked. She had to, for old time's sake. Bonnie still thought her Grams was a cooky old lady but she had admired how she was able to settle down and live comfortably. "You go first." She assured her. Bonnie wanted to hear about Caroline's life.
It was catch up.
They had plenty of time.
