anyways. gleefully rewatching s2 of lucifer but with my dad this time bc I was watching s4/s5 at the tail-end of my summer break from college and he kept asking questions about what was going on, so now I'm making him watch it with me while I visit home on the weekends. forgot how yummy Weaponizer and Monster are as episodes, I wish we spent longer on the tortureous emotions that come with killing your brother in self-defense and the guilt and grief that haunt you afterwards (especially when the last thing you wanted to do was hurt your little brother)

I hope y'all bear with me with the tags here... I'm not sure which tag to use since I've noticed while lurking that all the lucifer-related tags are a bit.... overun with stuff not related to the tv show. if anyone in the fandom sees this please A. tell me what tags y'all are using and B. tell me where to find y'all bc it'd be fun to yap with someone

Side note: I really disliked elementary (couldn't even finish it so tell me if I'm wrong,) because they make Watson a women.

now listen, there is NOTHING WRONG WITH JOAN‼️

but, if they wanted a main character be a women they should have made them both women

They didn't need to change one of their genders, as it adds nothing much to the story, they were just scared to make a popular male duo romantic 💥‼️‼️

Lesbian Johnlock would have been just as modern (if not MORE)

They were just scared to make them gay UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............

Also unrelated, I believe Juliet (Psych) and Sharona (Monk) deversed a WOMAN‼️ (🏳‍🌈)

Today I finished watching the second season of this new series I am getting familiar with called Lucifer, and it's such an interesting example because I haven't had such complicated feelings about anything in a long time.

On the one hand, they definitely know how to write season plots in a way that will get you hooked and you will travel this journey with twists snd turns step by step gradually never losing your interest; some episodes are absolutely brilliant with the way they play with your expectations and use mythological imagery. It's very interesting to learn more about this world, and some of the characters have already captivated me. I also like the choice of songs used.

On the other hand, this coexists with this overall glamorous style, with constant talks and acts of "sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll" nature, a bit of love drama here and there, and often a bit boring one-episode murder mysteries. And it makes the experience a little tiring to me, especially if I try to watch two episodes in a raw without any break. No matter how fitting I think it is for this story logically, subjectively, it just something that doesn’t entertain me, not my type of fun.

But I am a curious one so I’ll keep watching for now :)
