As we all know, in the novel of 2001: A Space Odyssey, the story takes place around Saturn, and the Monolith is on Iapetus. It'd be cool to know what Sir Arthur C. Clarke would've done if he sticked with the Novel, and not the Movie, with the sequels. Would Saturn become Lucifer? That doesn't make sense, since Jupiter's the "Failed Star". And would've Iapetus been the equivalent of Europe? What would've changed? Unfortunately, we'll never know, but it'd be fun to imagine the Space Odysseys revolving around [got it? Revolving around, like a moon, Iapetus! I'm too funny, I know] Saturn and its system.
