Ranpo may not be the best with handling emotions but that’s okay.
He does know love and he knows you’re the cause for the growing warmth in his heart.
You’re having a bad day, he can tell. Does he know what to do?
Not particularly, no.
But he knows that he would rather be with you than leave you alone.
You’re found sitting on the couch and he decides to join.
The detective plops down next to you, mindful of your space.
After a few moments silence he scoots closer offering you a hand.
Once you take it, he smiles and squeezes yours to reassure you he’s here for you.
Your fingers intertwine and he places his head to yours,
“You’ll get past this. I know you can do it.”
“I’ll be there right beside you.”
He nuzzles his nose to your temple before moving to wrap his arm around you, pulling you closer (if that was even possible).
Hugs are one of his favourite ways of expressing his never ending love for you.
The rest of the day will be spent in each others arms, the love he has for you growing with every moment he spends with you.
