Portrait of painter Luigi Lucioni (1900-1988). Lucioni was an extremely gifted painter and etcher whose work focuses on landscapes, still life's and portraits. I have known his portraits of his colleagues and friends Paul Cadmus and Jared French for quite a while - both are extraordinarily detailed, luminous and intense portraits - but I only recently (thanks to @liliums_compendium 's brilliant posts) got to know the painter behind the works. Benevento captain Lucioni banned 1 year for doping
