“Brotherrr,” Kokab briefly addressed Lucifer before taking hold of their hand, trying to pull them in the same direction as him. He didn’t worry about whether or not he was sneaking up on the archangel; he knew he was far from capable from pulling off a stunt like that. His guess would be that Lucifer could probably sense him from a hundred miles away, at the absolute least.
The lack of required formality was one of Kokab’s favorite things about having fallen, and they took every opportunity to carry out whatever impulses suited them instead of adhering to whatever idiotic script they were supposed to be following to show respect.
It wasn’t that they didn’t respect Lucifer. They respected Lucifer immensely. It was for that exact reason that he made the choice to ignore convention. Because he didn’t respect Lucifer because he had been told, or because Lucifer could destroy him in an instant. It was because he admired Lucifer’s conviction, the same way he admired the conviction of any of his fallen siblings. Everything they’d done had taken bravery that Kokab doubted anyone else could comprehend.
“Come look at the stars with me.”
