I just think that ray would have these feelings build up for a while before he eventually has to sit down and start questioning himself, because, like, he's had a bit of experience in the dating department, but... he'd never felt this strongly about any of his past girlfriends. what's the deal with THAT.

and then he comes to terms with the fact that he never actually felt much romantic attraction to any of them to begin with (they probably knew. everyone knew.) and realizes that, for the first time, he's actually experiencing it... with me! THAT'S what those warm, fuzzy feelings are! turns out the dude just likes men! or, well, one man. that one man is me. <3

Do you have any backstory to how Maxine and aster met?

Maxine's hair was a lot fluffier way back then.

They met back when Maxine was still in Nexus City, and kinda bonded somehow. Aster must've thought the fact they both had weapons was a great common ground.

Maxine wanted to thank him, but they didn't really have much… Instant noodles in a motel it is I guess.

And, well, ever since the zed outbreak, Aster was searching for his best friend. Sad shit.

hmmmm... this is a good question! I don't think it has? atleast not enough for me to notice it. I guess if we count my childhood days when I barely knew anything about him, I just thought "haha funny goofy limbless man" compared to now where I am crazy in love with him and could write a 50 page essay on my pure infatuation with him, hah.

in the time that I've been selfshipping with him, though, not particularly ^^' I've always just been... head over heels lol

well, I'm a bit of a coward - absolutely not very daring nor brave, I like the comfort of SAFETY - so I'm sure only he could be the one to drag me along with him on his adventures lmAO, even then I'd probably be clinging onto him the entire time afraid of EVERY LITTLE THING 😭

as for the other way around? that's difficult... he's very flexible and would be willing to go along with pretty much anything I think hehe.

though I have been playing around with the idea of my self insert desperately wanting to keep a rabbid as a pet and rayman would have LOST his MIND if it wasn't for the fact that it's, well, me lol. he's chanting words of affirmation to himself like "okay. just. go along with it. do it for lex. you love lex. c'mon rayman. do it for lex do it for lex do it for lex do it for lex-" and then the rabbid proceeds to take a bite out of his hoodie or something LMAO. 7: are there any specific scenes/chapters/moments of your f/o that you find yourself going back to revisit more often than any other?

literally every moment with him where he talks in rayman 3, hAH. it is NOT A LOT. he has... like five lines of actual dialogue in the game (outside of the ending cutscene). so I treasure each and every moment, hah. I have a compilation of all his voicelines I listen to when I'm feeling down 😅 his voice brings me comfort ❤

10: if you could change one thing about your f/o’s source content, would you? what would you change?

NO RABBIDS. okay but in all seriousness, I don't mind the rabbids. they can be fun. I just wish ubisoft didn't completely throw rayman down the shitter after creating the rabbids and having them take over the franchise. 😅

13: do you have a favorite line your f/o has ever said?

every line he speaks is my favourite line of his hAH. like I mentioned, I absolutely ADORE his voice. it comforts me. but for the sake of the joke, I GOTTA go with the classic:

but also, the way he goes "I'm sorry, I - I'm sorry, I - I - I didn't mean to-" at the beginning of the bog of murk is just ADORABLE, seeing him all embarrassed and stammering like that! 😭

I like his regular good ol' hoodie! ^^ it suits his character so well. (much more than the bandana in his classic design imo sorry not sorry.)

if I have to pick another one, the lockjaw outfit from rayman 3 is definitely my answer. that color combo looks good on him. 💙💚🥺

and it's my favourite powerup of his!!! it's so fun to use in-game!

decently clingy... :D

he's VERY affectionate and just as touch starved as I am, so we both pretty much NEED to be physically close to eachother at all times haha. of course though, he's not overbearing, and he respects my boundaries if I need a bit of space, and same goes for me to him. :) generally, though, we're both pretty clingy towards eachother (though me maybe a bit more so than him!)

OH GOSH. okay, okay, I have to fight to not get flustered on this one. I'm not good at pointing out my own qualities, but... I think he admires me for being uniquely me without ever backing down or succumbing to something I'm not. I've been told I'm very strange, very weird... and I take that as a compliment! I think rayman would absolutely adore that part about me. ❤ that I don't like adhering to the norm, and just want to be my own person. I think that's something he'd really appreciate, being as free-spirited as he is! he's all about that.

so, why does he love me? well... because I'm me! hopefully that isn't too corny... 😅

definitely being all comfy and cozy, snuggling up together and taking a little rest in the snoring tree!
