I feel like shinsou would make assumptions about gen Ed students and it pisses them off. I just want 1 gen Ed student to tell him " just beacuse you think gen Ed is a consolation prize or a stepping stone for the hero course does not mean all of us think that "

Actually I want to talk about this.

I love Shinsou but I feel like we need to talk about the fact that his introduction implied that he believed everyone around him took Gen Ed as a consolation prize.

Not to mention if you think about the fucked up timeline the USJ happened like a week into the school year, so that means the Sports Festival didn't take place that long after.

This implies that he started training with Aizawa early into the year, so when you use this context and inferences it doesn't paint anyone in a good light.

Aizawa is teaching a Gen Ed kid more than he is teaching his own class.

The Sports Festival happened way too early on in the year which means that villains figure out weaknesses really early on before the hero students can even make their careers.

Shinsou hasn't had time to learn that some of the other Gen Ed kids actually chose Gen Ed and it wasn't a consolation prize.

So you are totally right, and hate that the next time we see Gen Ed it is with two bitter students.

Where are the Gen Ed students who want to become like journalists so they're studying at the number one school in the country? Where are the Gen Ed students who chose Gen Ed without participating in the hero trial? Actually where are the Gen Ed students who purposely failed the entrance exam, but knew their written exam was enough to get them into Gen Ed?

More importantly, is it even an option to apply just to Gen Ed?

Love your blog btw!! Anyway I rember you've made several posts about people misunderstanding Cu and how it's upsetting. And I didn't REALLY get it

But then I saw people misunderstanding Mori Nagayoshi, reducing him to a 1 dimensional murderous idiot instead of acknowledging that the gap moe of him being both brutal and viscious while also being loyal sweet and kind is core to his apeal and his character overall.

Long story short I had an epiphany and I get now why it makes you so upset

its so frustrating because YES the superficial appeal is there and you can't expect people to pay in depth attention to every character so you can't really blame them for not paying more than superficial attention to your specific guy either but that doesn't mean it's not exhausting to only ever see the superficial takes on them, especially when those superficial takes then lead to interpretations (or god forbid, fanworks) that are directly contradicted by the text. because it's just anime characters so it's never actually that important and you gotta log off and touch some grass but also People Are Being Wrong On The Internet About Something That Matters To You. like they don't GET it. they're on the first episode of megalo box here they see the appeal but they've only taken the first step to understanding and then they don't fucking watch the rest of it. but you still can't blame em for not having your phd in character seriesname because they're bound to have a phd in a character you know jack shit about. so the compromise. is to complain on tumblr dot com!

I want polarmate to call aizawa out on his teaching methods, he made it clear they can't trust him so of course thier not going to tell him anything. I have 0 pity for him when this is an issue of his own making. The other classes don't have these issues becase the students trust thier teachers. Aizawa let's issues fester until they become a big issue like iida and Stain. While the other hero courses nip the issues in the bud so it never gets to those levels.

Aizawa's use of fear tactics and displays of inaction remind me a lot of my childhood, so it'll be cathartic for me to see Polarmare go off the rails if Aizawa ever brings the Stain instance up.

No wonder Iida went off to kill a known serial killer, you let him take an apprenticeship there because we all know you don't look at paperwork. Not to mention your flat out fear tactics that if a student brings shit to you you would expell them.

I'll also say, Midoriya being called a problem child would totally fuck with his mental health.

So as someone who like aizawa but also believes he deserves criticism what's polarmares deal with him ? I get the impression she's annoyed by him.

Polarmare and Aizawa's relationship is really interesting because I am working under certain assumptions when crafting it.

It is my belief that Aizawa is the staff favorite of Nezu due to the fact Nezu hides in Aizawa's scarf, and we don't have scenes where he is critical of Aizawa like he is with All Might. Then of course there is the fact that he is one of the two teachers who get the most screentime so as an audience we assume that Aizawa is of importance to the school. Not to mention we are told he is a good teacher without him really showing us it.

Naturally, you don't criticize the favorite out of fear of Nezu or Aizawa or Aizawa's friends or just anything that comes with criticizing a favorite.

Polarmare doesn't have time for that bullshit.

She has a job to do, and she is going to do it regardless of what anyone thinks.

She was hired to teach the Business/Management course so she is going to teach the Business/Management course.

Sometimes this means blocking the other faculty from doing things they want to do. Which is fine for people like Snipe and Ectoplasm because I'm sure they're use to being told no, but for some like Aizawa or All Might this would come as shock.

There is also the fact that Polarmare isn't intimidated by Aizawa.

Whether you want to admit it or not Aizawa's quirk is realistically something you would fear in the BNHA universe as it gets rid of quirks albeit temporarily. Considering how on this blog I've essentially proven time and time again that BNHA's society relies heavily on quirks so it makes sense that the teacher with the quirk that dismantles society would be feared.

Small problem.

Those who can fight without their quirks don't have a reason to fear Aizawa which is why Polarmare finds him an annoying bug at best and a virus at worst.

I've said it time and time again, Polarmare has an axe and she isn't afraid to use it.

With all of that in mind, their relationship is very much Unstoppable Force (Aizawa) verse Immovable Object (Polarmare).

I've always felt like Iida would respect the heck out of the management course more so then the other hero students except Izuku beacsue he grew up in a hero family he saw that heroism is a group effort I also think he would be popular in management for his honesty and straight forward nature.

Absolutely! Not to mention I always imagined the Support and Management course close so the students have probably heard Mei gush about him!

Why does hagakure not have a costume? she should have shoes that help her be quiet and that turn invisible. Or something that hides her body heat. Her costume could have been so much cooler instead it's just gloves.

Because apparently her being invisible gives an excuse to be a perve because you can't actually see her.

Also, it shouldn't matter if she is invisible or not because her not having a costume is breaking a law and we were told this upon Midnight's introduction.

I fell like the idea that the hero course looks down on the other courses isn't completely unfounded. They probably do so unintentionally and can kinda be condescending without realizing it. I feel like izuku would be a favorite of the other courses because he never implies that they're not ambitious or that they're work isn't important. Thier also petty twords hero students who insult them intentionally or otherwise. Thier great at malicious compliance.

I definitely do believe that that hero course has a sense of superiority whether intentional or not.

Midoriya would absolutely be the favorite of the other courses, his eagerness to learn and his desire to study quirks would make everyone feel special. Plus he seems up for anything if it feeds his curious brain.

Building with Support students and learning about gadgets? Hell yeah. Studying with the Business Course and learning about being confident in the face of the media? You betch ya. Chilling with the Gen Ed students and learning about their future career paths and how they help society in their own way? Definity.

I don't really think the other courses would be petty though, more so bitter or annoyed. Though you can expect them to send some sarcasm or a snarky answer the hero courses way.
