TMNT 30 Day Challenge Day 4
So Day 4: who is your least favorite human?
I...really don’t think I have one to be honest. I view the humans as being intriguing characters that may vary in their execution depending on the writer. So, similar to my least favorite turtle.
Case in point, from the original series, I really like the Channel 6 crew. They all have great personalities with flaws that play off one another well for excellent comedic moments. The series didn’t delve much into their backgrounds but there was potential for exploration. Vernon makes a good rival but not necessarily anatagonist for April and I am intrigued as to how he turned out how he did. LuckyLadybug does excellent exploring this in her stories. Irma is one of my favorites because she really is an interesting best friend. While not exactly courageous if the stakes are high, she truly steps up to the plate and I really wonder if she knows what she’s capable of.
I never was a huge fan of the gangster villains in the show but that is because I’m not a fan of that genre of movies. The characters themselves have a lot of potential for unique scenarios. NICK did a great rendition with Don in Season 5 and even the old school gangsters while definitely stereotypes and pun-based could be reinvisioned for future incarnations to be a genuine threat.
Even characters like Cody Jones, Starlee, etc, I really can’t say I dislike. They all have the makings of good supporting cast and truly are just limited by what the writers did with them. Aliens intermingling in the future is awesome. A descendants of April and Casey is awesome. A villain who is using emotional manipulation to get what he wants. This is all awesome!
So, I shall cheat a little on this one and say I don’t have a least favorite human. I have disappointment in how they were utilized but as for the characters themselves? Let’s explore them some more!
