11, 15, and 34 for the Fanfic Writer Meme, please! :D
11. Who or what do you find yourself writing about most?
Home. I’m not even subtle about it. All my stories are about searching for one’s place in the world, or at least that's how they read to me.
15. What’s the weirdest fandom you’ve ever written for?
I don’t think I’ve written for any weird fandoms, per se, but the most niche is definitely Devil Survivor. And I wrote quite a bit of a YGO fic for that very specific fanon space that exists in the span between Dark Side of Dimensions and Kaiba’s 30th birthday where all adult Seto-centric fics with minimal or zero Duel Monsters involvement exist. I wish I could say I’ve written Tetris or Space Invaders smut, but I’m not that interesting.
34. Copy and paste an excerpt you’re particularly fond of.
“Luffy! Are you okay?! Where did you—” He slowed halfway down the beach. “Alex? What are you doing here?” “Fishing your student out of the water, it seems!” “Thanks for that!” Walking the rest of the way to them, he reached to pick up Luffy and leave him to dry on the sand. He patted Luffy on the back as he coughed water, and Alex had to wonder how many times Ray had rescued Devil Fruit users from water to be so casual about this. “But why are you here? Did you miss me?” She did, a little, but she’d be damned if she said it. “Hancock wanted to know how Luffy was doing.” “I told her that no women were allowed here until Luffy’s training concluded.” “I’m aware. My woman license has been revoked by the Pirate Empress. My gender cannot be perceived anymore. I’m above your puny social constructs. I’ve ascended,” she said with a flourish. “She didn’t want to argue, did she?” “That too.”
From chapter 10 of Degrees of Separation. Chose this one in case I can egg you on to work on your own self-insert. :p
