Are we going to see more of Hal next chapter in Nascent?

I can't promise it'll be in the next chapter but I can definitely promise that we'll see more of Hal throughout the story!

Ya know what? As much as I love where we are now with Pandora exploring more of Damian hero side outside the bat family and the new dynamics, I really am just excited for Damian to rip Andrew’s mim a new one. I know Pan wouldn’t want that but Dam has ways.

HAHAHAHAHA. What I’ve currently dubbed the Jayes Family arc or the Pandora Arc is fast on the horizon, lots of questions will be answered and hopefully satisfying confrontations on the verge. I’m excited to write more of Hal too :) It’s always crazy when the scenes you imagined ages ago finally start coming your way

I hope this don’t sound too personal but u write Pandora’s home life really well with the concept of single parenting. Do u write this from your own personal experiences? It’s just so well portrayed I figured it would have to be from Someone who’s experienced single parenting firsthand? Again apologies if it’s too personal

I’m also very grateful that you think the portrayal is done well, that’s high praise and anytime writing can hit home or seem authentic sounds good to me ;-; I don’t mind sharing this at all, I’m not sure if it counts as writing advice or if it’ll help anyone, but I hope it does!

I am actually! Though I definitely have to admit, Lucy and my own mom are pretty different people AHAHAHA, but it’s the essence and experience of that single family life I think that’s still relatable for a lot of people, no matter who your parent is. My mom’s the one who raised myself and my three sisters, so we’re a lively household hahahaa.

I tend to try to weave a bit of personal with not-personal throughout the stories. A lot of experiences Pandora’s gone through are not ones I can share, but sometimes the sentiments or feelings might be similar in how I’d try to imagine someone in her shoes--or vice versa where the situation might be a touch similar but the sentiments different. When it comes to the family dynamic between her and her mom though, I think that does end up coming from a bit more of a personal place. I have a lot to thank my mom for; how she raised me, how her hard work as a single parent has impacted me, and her willingness to let me pursue a passion in an unconventional field to most parents. 

Sometimes it’s actually harder for me to write from the perspective of a more nuclear family HAHAHA, I have to stop and think... yeah, this is what normal two parent households migggghttt be like, right? (All households def have their own problems though, so any kind of family dynamic can be tricky hahaha)

I was super happy to answer this though! I’m glad any interaction can come through as being realistic. I love my mom and everything she’s done, and to all the other single-families out there, you got this yo <333

Maybe a unpopular opinion: I feel like everybody is so happy about Lucy knowing Hal and the possible romance going to come from that. But I just want Pan’s dad back with them. I’ll admit I think he’s a bit of a coward for not staying but we don’t fully know the situation about that yet. Plus, I don’t think Pan’s dad ever wanted to leave them. I just dunno. I see more potential drama in that, cause Lucy doesn’t wanna get hurt twice by the same guy, nor does she want Pan do go through that again

not an unpopular opinion at all, a lot of people share these sentiments, do not fret.

I can’t spoil anything because the Jayes Family Arc is one that is slowly creeping up on us, and we’ll be hitting it soon, but I think these are all valid thoughts and opinions, so I hope you’ll enjoy what Nascent has in store!

I can’t believe pan and her mama know green freaking lantern!!! He trying to make a move!!! Please let them be happy and have pan a cool superhero stepdad!!!! Do they know Hal’s GL????? Will u write her finding out who her fav (not bat) hero is?????????????

Wait. Wait. I finished reading the latest chapter, and was scrolling through the tumblr tag and. Pandora's favorite non-gotham superhero is Green Lantern. And her mom is meeting up with Hal Jordan. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN FORESHADOWING THIS. WHAT ELSE HAVE I MISSED?!?
