Finishing the series, PMD Lucy. I've never been a huge fan of sudden bipedal Purrloin as of Gen VI, but it did let me keep to the bipedal theme of most of the morphs here, and these two Pokémon mix surprisingly well.
Why Purrloin? It's a trickster, and a cat, which felt pretty appropriate for Lucy. She's quiet and unassuming and sweet, but with a streak of playfulness and mischief, at which point all bets are off.
All right, finally done with this! Cover for Morphic.
Happy birthday to Morphic!
My second completed Pokémon chapterfic is fifteen years old today. I will probably give this some proper color, but I need to be in bed already, so I guess I'll get around to that tomorrow or something. As it is I guess I do kind of enjoy it as a minimalistic thing, I guess.
The promised rewrite is coming along; I have not had enough time to actually finish and polish chapter one for the anniversary, which would've been cool, but I've written two scenes and gone over them a couple times, and all in all it should be an Actually Soon (tm).
Whumptober day 31, "Bedside Vigil". A final one from Groundhog Dave to wrap things up, wherein he grasps for things to hate when six children are dead. Because he is Dave.
They were all dead when the ambulance got there, all of them except Mia who’d been shot in the back and had passed out from blood loss. Dave went with the Kerrigans to the hospital and sat there by her bed, drumming his fingers, restlessly watching Cheryl and Howard as they hugged each other close, pale and exhausted and weeping, like a cliché out of the latest inevitable award-bait tragedy-porn flick. Lucy had been standing by the bed for hours, silent, staring at her sister’s unconscious face, not moving.
All in all, a successful completionist Whumptober, even if a lot of the results were wonky in various ways. Thank you for your patience, non-whump-enjoyers. Tomorrow we'll be back to your regularly scheduled not-whump.
Lucy.
Lucy. I’ve always found her the hardest morph to draw but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
Tiny Lucy is really mostly just smaller.
