Sherlock - Elementary
People need to clam down with the rage toward the new show Elementary. If it wasn't based on Sherlock, people would call it a good show. Admit it. That trailor looked kick ass. As much as I don't like Lucy Luu, I'd watch it, and I'm a pretty big fan of Sherlock Holmes.
People are critisizing the name, but did they forget that Sherlock Holmes had a (1973) TV film that was called "Elementary, My Dear Watson". It's a famous line that Sherlock says quite a bit in the older versions. Hell, I'm surprised people weren't up in arms about the BBC version not saying it.
People are also criticizing the way the new guy dresses; saying he's copying the BBC Sherlock. Umm, NO. If you line up ALL the different versions of Sherlock Holmes from through the years you're bound to find a few similarities in appearance. Why wouldn't they look alike? They are all based on the same person.
My point: "Watch the show, DON'T compare it--just watch it, THEN you say if you're still mad at it for being a 'Copy/Watered-down version of Sherlock Holmes'"
