Who ever decided that false summer should start during exams has a lot of explaining to do
15.04.26
another sunny day, and i pulled myself to complete 2 units.
really nervous and excited about my coming endsem exams>.<
5.3.2026 - 1/100 days of productivity
Finally going to hop on the 100 days of productivity trend, I need so badly a rigid system keeping me accountable. My worst habit right now is setting (perhaps too ambitious) daily to-do lists and finishing nothing on them, so hopefully posting here every single day and seeing either my victories or failures will motivate me to be more productive.
I’m afraid it’s a classic case of senioritis - I know I’ll be out of school for a year after this semester’s done and my brain’s battling me to check out of the productive student mode. Really not ok considering there’s two whole months left 😭 normally this happens only around finals
I think it’ll be quite satisfying seeing the checked off lists on here so I really hope this is my saving grace. Alas, for today:
Hunt down and find green lasers among the undergrad labs (whoever’s hidden them from me count your days)
Make sure microcontroller code works with new lasers or tweak if needed ahead of meeting
Have QKD lab meeting
[15/4/26] today was all about changing perspectives.
woke up with a killer backache so couldn't do much all morning. i logged onto my research meeting like i was walking to the gallows, but the postdoc fixed all the problems i didnt fix and suddenly we are drafting a paper. finals month is a great time to be writing a paper i will say!
took myself to a nearby cafe for some good tiramisu while i finally stand up to the beast that is path integral formulation of qft! i took a short walk to shake off the dread and print some papers which i am now reading in the last dregs of sunlight.

☆ The sun came back! ☆
Love studying with sunlight!!! It makes me so happy, help. I was significantly more productive than the last few days. Got to finish the first 3 topics (out of 4), and I understood more or less everything. I really like waves and oscillators to be honest, probably my fav class for this term. Didn't have class today (that's why I worked for 7,9h 💀💀).
may 6th 2026
study date with a friend, physics lab, getting 4.5/5 points on the experiment i did two weeks ago, eating a slice of cake with my lab partner and an evening sword fighting class outside. days like this make me remember that university doesn't have to be stressful and anxiety-inducing, despite all the exams. it can be fun, too
Sometimes supporting early career scientists looks like bullying them into writing a first author paper on their data so they actually get the academic credit of doing a bunch of technical work. Hi, it's me, the early career scientist.
He is going to write my thesis in Multimessenger Astronomy instead of me
