Shaking his head with a smile, Wally drains the bath and puts away the toys - they have a cupboard for them, but they never bother with that anymore. They’ll only be brought out again the next day. Now, they only make sure all the toys are contained to either the cupboard or the bathtub, not strewn across the floor. Usually, June and Lucy would be told to tidy them up, but it’s getting pretty late. Wally figures he can let them have a couple extra minutes with their dad before bed tonight instead of spending that time cleaning up. He mops up the small amount of spilled water with Lucy’s used towel, then tosses it in the hamper. It’s getting full. He’ll have to remember to take it downstairs and sort it tomorrow. He’s just giving the room one last glance over when Lucy calls his name up the stairs. And then follows it with, “Daddy’s sick!”
Dick underestimates just how cold it is outside. Lucky for him, he has three speedster-shaped space heaters waiting for him at home.
