BOOK 38 of 2019: NOTHING TO HIDE by Allison Brennan Allison Brennan is my favorite author. Just look at my @goodreads shelf. (Swipe) I’ve read about 40 of her books!! 😳 The latest is the 15th in her Lucy Kincaid series. In a nutshell, even before the Lucy Kincaid series, there were several smaller series and some standalones that introduced us to the Kincaid family - a bunch of siblings with various careers in law enforcement and other continuing characters. Lucy was a teenager then. After a personal horror, she became an FBI agent and got her own series. I’ve loved every single book in these series and pretty much every character. This novel has Lucy working with a deputy sheriff who has bad history working with the FBI. They’re trying to solve a string of murders that must be connected but they’ve got no suspects, no evidence, no motives, nothing to go on. This books shows the painstaking work of police procedure and investigation. Meanwhile, Lucy’s husband Sean is dealing with the deadly secrets his son is hiding from him. And I love when previous characters come back in each book. As always, the plot is smart and thoroughly researched by the author. Suspenseful and emotional.
