Question: Awhile ago somebody told me that Skadi was interested in me. Shortly before and since then, I've been having little (maybe too little? still new at this) signs that maybe she is. Could you see if/why she is?
Answer: (I'm including a lot of the process of finding Skadi/climbing the mountain/etc. because I feel that knowing the process I went through will help you reach her if/when you wish to do so.) I traveled into the otherworld, waiting for the mists to reside. As they faded, I found myself at the base of the mountains. It was cold, and although it wasn't snowing where I was, I could see snow farther up in the mountains. The sun was low in the sky, and I could tell I only had a few hours left of daylight.
I began to climb. The going was slow, as it was difficult to pick out safe routes of travel. There were no marked trails or paths. The greenery present at the base of the mountain began to thin out as well, leaving me with fewer handholds.
In any case, I stopped on a rocky outcrop when it was too dark to climb anymore. I was high enough to be camped in the snow, and I started a fire for the night. I wasn't very prepared in terms of shelter, because I don't usually have to spend the night traveling.
I sat by the fire and tried to feel for Skadi's presence. That was barely necessary- the winter scene around me signified it well enough. But at my mental prodding, suddenly my fire was blown out by the wind. A few couple things were odd about this: 1) It was an actual, blazing fire and should have been incredibly difficult to extinguish. 2) The wind immediately changed to blow all the smoke into my face.
I shielded my face with my forearm for a few seconds. When I looked up again, everything was dark. Except for several pairs of gleaming eyes surrounding me. I drew my sword. They got closer and closer until I could decipher them as white wolves. Skadi's animals. Though they looked vicious, I sheathed my sword out of respect, then waited tensely for something to happen.
A voice came to me on the wind- a low but pure female voice. The wolves' ears pricked up.
"Crosser of Mists... You've come far to find me. My wolves will lead the way from now on."
The wolves growled at me, then turned in unison and started up a previously hidden path. I hurried to gather my few belongings and follow them through the darkness.
I traveled until dawn, when I beheld a gleaming palace built into the mountainside. It seemed to be made of ice and rock. The wolves scattered, and I entered the main hall. At the end of it sat Skadi. She was beautiful, her skin and long hair the color of snow. Her blue-gray eyes scrutinized me as I approached.
I won't go into too much detail with the description of formalities and such, because I know you want to hear the answer to your question. She is definitely interested in you. She told me she's been sending you certain signals, but that she's been testing to see if you're interested enough to look further. And it pleased her to know that you are--that you sent me for answers.
For one, she's interested in you because she feels you will be loyal. She told me that many people come to her and worship her in the winter but forget about her as soon as spring comes around. (P.S. Her nickname for you is Permafrost ;}) So before you get into anything with her, you should know that she expects you to worship her. Although she seems to hold you in some esteem and she would probably repay you.
Also, Skadi says that she's been noticing you trying to get to the astral more recently. She'd like to train you to fight and to defend yourself. She also said that there is a war coming and she feels you will be some kind of aid to her.
