Ludwig Klein

Ludwig was several months into a psychosurgery trial involving editing levels of drug tolerance. He was always very particular about controls in his experiments, considering the results could be subjective and easily swayed by a placebo effect. The intended result of an experiment was always hidden from his subjects and, to a point, from himself. His current hypothesis is that what he was doing would change something, but he wasn't quite sure what that was. Some might accuse him of not knowing what he was doing, or even malpractice, but what use was science if you already knew what the result was going to be?

He was currently interviewing one of the subjects, Zachary Ryan, at his third monthly check-in. "So, Mr. Ryan," he began, clicking his pen and readying his notes. "What has your substance intake been like zhis month? More or less zhan usual?"

It was once again time for a yearly visit from one of Ludwig's favorite long-running projects. Usually he spent the time leading up to appointments back in his research lab and waited for someone to press the call button the front desk, but this was a rare time he decided to actually use the desk. He was considering the logistics of hiring a secretary instead of doing everything himself when the whzz of the automatic entry door opening caught his attention. “Yeager, my boy, good to see you. How are you zhis afternoon?” He stood and approached Yag, arm reaching out for a handshake.

Ludwig isn't a gossip by any means, but he is not above saying what someone wants to hear to get what he wants from them. He'd prefer to bend the truth or lie by omission than outright lie, though, cause that covers his ass better.

Ludwig is very patient for things that need time, but less patient for outside forces that are making things take longer than they necessarily need to. Woe betide any poor sap that hinders his experiments, intentionally or not.

Ludwig keeps a hell of a lot of research notes, organized in ways only he understands. He also carries around a pocketbook in case someone or something interesting happens.
