No, it really was a thousand, if I'm counting properly. He's always hungry, so he's always looking for new places to eat at, but whenever he finds one he orders so much food that they usually run out of ingredients and the chefs and other customers get upset. Then he tries to pay the bill with his "treasure tab," which is basically money he doesn't have yet but plans on getting in the future.

I think Sabo would be insanely patient with his brothers after he remembers them. Like whenever Ace and Luffy are pissing around, fighting or breaking things, he would just stare at them for a few moments smiling fondly before jumping into the fight (bc he wants so badly to be their brother again, and he is trying to relearn how to). Ofc he is getting active too (Dadan ain’t raise no coward), but discreetly he is making sure that they don’t break anything or go too far with their words. Because God, he is so so happy to have them back, and it overshadows any of the negatives so greatly that even during the hardest times he is so grateful that they are alive. Like he loves them so deeply, and can’t stand to see them hurt or scold them too harshly. He hasn’t known them for so long, so he is going to make the most of their time now. It also often leads to his brothers bothering him ALL THE TIME. Imagine the most annoying thing ever, times two. That’s Ace and Luffy. They PURPOSELY try to drive that man insane, but little do they know he is already fucking crazy so it’s a bit too late for that.
