i think shanks and luffy are a really cute couple

I like the idea that Luffy started to wear red because of Shanks…

And also, even though Nika and Joyboy already had a lot of followers, Shanks was Luffy’s first devotee.

Also also how I like to interpret the way Buggy is a clown and Shanks being naturally interested in spending time with him without being aware yet of Joyboy and how Joyboy is the “Fool who brings smile to all” (like a clown) and how it seems that Shanks was already drawn by the concept of him even before even knowing about him or meeting him

So Shanks can't wear a wedding ring because he gave up that arm to save Luffy. The moment Luffy freed him after saving him is like a marriage proposal, and their promise is like their vows: their devotion until death do them part, upholding each other's names while they wait to see each other again, yearning for one another across the oceans.

The way Shanks cherishes Luffy's new bounty in a church during the wedding is so romantic
