The April Funds have been deposited and plans for the June fundraiser are well underway! Thanks to everyone for their support so far. We are off to a great start, but we aren't there yet. Just click the link to donate today!
Lace Up Fundraisers - Update!
I have a meeting this afternoon with a couple people who are going to give me some insight and guidance on my next big Lace Up fundraiser! I'm really excited to get this rolling - if it all goes as I have dreamed it in my head it's going to be a blast! I just can't share too much info until we have a few more details hammered out. Stay tuned for the next big thing, currently planned for the end of June in Darmouth, Nova Scotia. More little fundraisers to come too.....is it too early to make Christmas cards??
First walk done!
We just finished our first (leisurely) walk as we start training for our marathon. We walked about 3.46 km in about 30 minutes. A little slow but not bad for a couple of self proclaimed couch potatoes (where do you think I am writing this, at a desk? haha) At this rate it will take us a little less than 4 hours to walk the marathon. I think we need to pick up the pace or we may be participating in our first half marathon in December! Good thing we have 243 days until the run to get ourselves into shape!
Marathon Training!
Marathon Training officially starts today! Jared and I are going to start slow, since we are not the most active people on the best of days and we don't want to hurt ourselves. Today is a pretty nice day (for a Nova Scotia April!) and we are planning on going for a 'nice, long walk' as Jared put it. We plan to walk for about an hour at what ever pace is comfortable for us and see just how far we can go. wish us luck, and pray it doesn't rain - again!
I will be at this lovely little market next weekend selling paper crafts and limited edition photo cards. A portion of all sales will go towards Lace Up for Liver and the Canadian Liver Foundation. I can't wait to see you all there!
You're all lucky I'm not allowed to blog much anymore or else I'd be spamming you with AC/DC because of Mitch
Maybe I will anyway
