gave it all away - red
this is awkward, this is uncomfortable.
and baekhyun wants it to end. he wants this stupid meeting to end because there’s nothing hehas to say. there’s nothing more he wants to say to luhan. it’s already hard enough to sit across him, to look at him and feel him so close – it lets old feelings surface inside him but it’s not the good ones. it’s all the anger he’s been swallowing up for an entire year and not the soft fluttering of butterflies he used to feel when he saw the boy with messy hair and that ugly but undeniable charming laugh.
a part of him wishes it could be those butterflies, because it was much nicer to feel them.
but it’s only anger.
so, so much anger that baekhyun doesn’t want to deal with. “what’s the point, han?,” baekhyun asks him with a sigh, the guilty look on the other’s face annoying him to no end. “why do you keep asking me to see you? i told you i don’t want to anymore.” he cups his chin with his hand, his jaw tense so he doesn’t spit the meanest words into luhan’s face. he just wants luhan to leave him in peace. “let’s face it, you left when i needed you the most. you left when things went bad. you ran away.” luhan’s a coward and baekhyun holds grudges well. too well. “and now that you’re back you expect me to welcome you with open arms?”
luhan’s a coward and he’s stupid.
and baekhyun can’t forgive him. he doesn’t want to forgive him because luhan will do it again, he’s sure about it. whenever things get too serious, whenever things get too bad he’ll run. luhan showed his true face when baekhyun needed him to be here, when baekhyun needed nothing more than for luhan to stay. and in baekhyun’s eyes, that’s betrayal of a best friend.
