Design notes: since shes twisted from the Magic Mirror, her phantom is the mirror or rather... the thing... inside it... (her facial marlings are also taken from the magic mirror)

(Shes super mad bcs her UM doesnt work on Yuu and is calling them an outsider... yeah...)

Hello! This might be a weird question but I always wondered why Yelena told Soren to cover up his mole in his character intro art.

Is there a specific reason for it?

It'a nothing serious!! The gag is Yelena and Soren has matching moles on their left (Yelena) and right (Soren) undereye 😭 so Yelena was just telling him to cover it up and draw a fake mole if he rly wants to commit to crossdressing as her GSJSJSK 😭😭😭😭😭

Hello anon sorry for the late reply (i have such a bad track record of answering asks omg), and yes they do 🥹

Yelena's dream

As her OB is before Jamil and after Azul I suppose thats the order the dream team found her?

In her dream she's a bigshot biopsychologist working in Kingdom of Heroes alongside Idia & Ortho, but they have no Shroud curse (despite their hair & general appearance being the same bcs she genuinely thinks that the only aspect of them that needed to be changed was his circumstances💔)

So they sent Soren to approach her bcs hes the closest one to her that has no visible dream form... but she's like "Sorry? Do I know you?"

Soren... was NOT her brother😔 Yelena is still an Argen but Soren was just some stranger she sees on the cover on a magazine sometimes, a genius game dev she sees in the news, achieving his dreams easily without any pressure from his family, without anything to hold him back.

Basically he wont b experiencing the things she did bcs in her OB shes come into terms to her own circumstances, but not Soren's. The guilt of not and never being able to give the little brother she held once as a tiny baby, the childhood he deserved😔

It's also bcs Yelena genuinely cant comprehend a life where Soren is free while still being an Argen BUT she herself is and will always be, even in her dreams😔 She did spent most of her formative years trying to prove that she was worthy after all, despite her outward nonchalant and distaste nowadays of her father and family name

Which also means she cant see herself as being free or happy even in her dream world bcs the word Argen is never synonimous with "happiness".

To cope with this, the dream ver of the cast would be the ones that amplifies Yelena's unchanging view of the world: their pre-character development personalities to make herself feel better of not changing. Basically she mischaracterizes tf out of everyone lmao 😭

Ik everyone hates it but the usual Argen siblings miscommunication happened bcs when Soren saw her dream he thought the reason why he wasnt her brother in it was bcs she subconsciously thinks of him as a burden... while its just her wanting him to live a good life away from being an Argen 😭

Eventually the gang did some strategy meeting or smth like they always do and Soren is noticeably very down (VERY unlike him, hes a nonchalant king) and Idia kinda awkwardly reassured him that he Yelena loves him more than anyone, also correctly deducing that Yelena probably just wants Soren to live a good life without being tied to their family. At least, thats what he'd probably do to with Ortho

And Soren felt better and eventually they create a plan idk 😭 Soren recognized that on Yelena's workdesk theres this one dragon trinket that was apparently his first ever gift for her. It was part of Soren's first ever game he made -> a digital tabletop gane abt a princess, a knight, and a dragon. The same story Yelena used to read to him after their father's harsh education, abt how Yelena would always be a knight that saves Soren (the princess).😔

So they were kinda like, "where is this from then Yelena?" And the usual shebang happened yk the darkness coming in bcs Yelena started stuttering and racking her brain but can't answer.

Her darkness manifestation would be the fake Idia and Ortho I think?

Yelena had such a hard time being woken up tho and the darkness took hold on her so many times bcs despite how she vehemently preaches abt the truth and reality she wants that sweet dream to be real so bad😭😭😭 a hypocrite to the core

Eventually she did wake up after Soren redid the tabletop game from their childhood with the tech Idia gave him (like a projector or smth) and it eventually snapped Yelena awake and she was CRYING 😭 bcs all the memories came back, that she was stupid for believing such a nonsensical fantastical dream, and for simply taking the cowardly way of just pushing Soren away again

And since shes an overblotter the darkness came back, she got sucked in and Soren panicked (for the 2nd time after her OB) and Yelena tried to act cool & ordered the dream team to take him away bcs she'll be just fine. But then when they did she breaks her mask and SCREAMED bcs shes so damn afraid of height and falling lmfaoo 🧵😭😭

she faced off w her OB form, and she makes a speech yada yada 😭😭😭 (i think its mostly like Jamil's tho)

Eventually she did her cool entry, idk does some flirting w fake Idia and just saying "the real Idia is much more handsome & the real Ortho is much cuter" or smth 😭😭😭 and regroups

Soren's dream

Since he's a member of Ignihyde he's also a part of the dream team in my canon, and... he's awake even before Silver and Sebek meet up with Ignihyde???

Soren is a strange specimen in which he's a daydreamer and usually lives in his own bubble... but Soren in B7 was the first to wake up bcs despite how disconnected he is with reality that also makes him someone who can differentiate between whats real and whats not the most😭

So STYX notices his signal is on and they were like "yo hes the only one whos awake" and so hes the first one the dream team moves to after they grouped with Idia and Ortho.

Hes just there pretending to be still in the dream bcs he deduced that Malleus'd get his ass if he acted any differently 😭

And then they quickly regrouped w him etc and makes his dummy

Then Soren is good to go 🫡

(His development in B7 happens in Yelena's dream mostly😭)

I ACTUALLY HAVE RLY LONG THOUGHTS ABT THIS (sorry for responding late pooks, my health hasn't been the best)

Yelena would!!! Regardless of gender she eventually would treat them as her kids even. She is THE mom to ever mom and her motherly nature is a big part of her character... which unfortunately also includes the toxic side of mothers💀 (her hypocrisy, judgemental nature, and thinking everything she does is for their own sake, etc). In short, Yelena initially didnt think too much of Yuu (/derogatory), bcs she finds them boring. This varies between Yuus ofc, but i'm basing it on my friend's Yuu who is a rly shy and mellow girl, and basically just gets dragged into things and Yelena doesn't like how backboneless they are. But they never rly interact until Yelena's own book aka... her overblot.

Basically she was a damn menace for Ramshackle and Yuu in particular, framing Grim and purposefully using them for her own gains. And as my friend's Yuu is particularly insecure abt her place in twst, Yelena basically just kept going and insulted them as "an outsider" (bcs her UM cant target them as they dont have magic).

And after her OB, safe to say their relationship is ROCKY. While Yelena completely took responsibility, she's rly bad at admitting her faults and no matter how much she wants to apologize and make things right, she was extremely awkward doing so She kinda avoids the topic (and basically everyone) until her friends kinda put some sense to her (again) and finally apologizes to Yuu.

She'll stumble and say the wrong things tho and it all depends on how forgiving your Yuu is😭. Eventually if they can reach a common ground and Yelena finally becomes comfy enough and not so self-hating she can form a stable friendship with Yuu. Best case scenario, she'll totally be almost like a new mom for them she fusses over how well they're eating, the raggedy clothes they wear, etc. She'll kill their bullies too especially bcs seeing them reminds her of her own actions😭😭😭
