I have to say it buttttt as a dark skin black woman parts of Mortel made me angry. Why is Nora (the only young dark skin girl) the stereotypical dark skin best friend to the mixed/light skin mc?

And she’s jealous of her always lives in her shadow and having Victor say “sHe hAtEs yOu aNd wAnTs tO bE yoU aND wANTS to maKe yOu SUFFER” really made me side eye this fucking show. It came across as she was the second rate black girl that wasn’t as pretty or well liked as Luisa.

I don’t understand how y’all can find so many dark skin women but none of them can play major positive roles. The show wasn’t that great in general but please curb your colorism.
