“maybe this time i won’t burn,” luka chuckled to himself as he moved towards a picnic table by the beach with his stuff. the dress code was unfortunate but really it gave him an excuse to get out of his own head for a bit and go outside and get some sun. he’s been avoiding going into work the last couple of days, and has had his phone on silent under his mattress too. he needed some him time that wasn’t just sulking around. “oh–um…can i join you? or um…use this table too?” he questioned when he saw someone was already occupying it.
There was something to be said about living on a tropical island. Something that Grace admitted she didn’t take advantage of nearly enough. That was going to change today. We had decided to take a few hours off from the shop, and spend the day at the beach. The day was rather perfect for it, warm but with a soft breeze to keep it from being stifling. She had already taken a refreshing dip and was now heading back to her table to read, when she spotted a familiar figure. Well well..this day had just gotten better. Grace smiled, reaching across Luka to grab a towel, her blue suit catching the sun. “I would be delighted if you would join me darling!”
