A quick note on Luke:
Luke is easily one of the best written characters in THT and they don’t hold back with his portrayal. He’s emotionally immature, misogynistic at times, and he externalizes his emotions. He’s a really honest portrayal of how someone who already has some maladaptive traits might cope with compounding trauma and how it affects the people around them.
He’s all of those things and yet he has way more political integrity than any other male character on the show (and yes I’m including Mark Mr. CIA). There’s a reason Luke never joined the Sons of Jacob and others like Lawrence and Nick did. He doesn’t give these fascists an inch and bc he has diamond grade political integrity he actually has the capacity to change and become a better person.
