The Starry Love (cdrama, 2023)

"The Starry Love" tells the story of Ye Tan and Qing Kui, twin sisters whose fates are switched on their wedding night. Ye Tan is supposed to marry the demon prince and Qing Kui is supposed to marry the heavenly prince. In a twist of fate, the girls are switched in the carriages and both end up marrying the wrong person.

The romance is very good, especially between Ye Tan and You Qin. At first, they fight like children, since their relationship started with an arranged marriage, but little by little Ye Tan begins to change You Qin and make him fall in love with her. In a conflict, You Qin sacrifices herself to save the kingdom and his soul is shattered, so Ye Tan joins a quest to find the soul pieces and make them fall in love with her, only then can she make You Qin whole again. This is the lighthearted and fun part of the drama, You Qin's versions are cute and interesting.

The couple goes through many obstacles, but eventually they get married. The happiness doesn't last long, as people discover that Ye Tan and Qing Kui have a special power and that the girls are a threat to the world. In order to save Ye Tan, Qing Kui sacrifices herself. Ye Tan loses her sister and her husband, as the Heavenly Emperor takes You Qin's memories… she then sets out to take revenge on everyone that made her suffer.

In the end, even Ye Tan has to sacrifice herself to save the world. This was one of the things I didn't like, basically all the characters had to choose to die, it got a bit repetitive and I really wanted a happy ending for the characters. The ending is open, but it's not really a happy ending.

It was a truly spectacular drama in every way, I didn't expect all this when I started, but the story is full of humor, a passionate romance and a soundtrack that immediately catches your attention. The relationship between Ye Tan and Qing Kui is another positive point, they are two sisters with completely different personalities, but who would do anything for each other.

Starry love is such a nice, romantic and cute drama. The sisters Yetan and Qingkui are the best thing in this drama. Their sister bond is so beautiful and strong. Truly one of my favorite dramas.

hello I need more people to watch the starry love, please. So far, 12 episodes in, I'm really enjoying it! If you're interested in these things, you might like the drama too:

Powerful and socially awkward male lead (there are Reasons why he lacks emotions and is awkward) who just wants peace and quiet

Refuse to lie down and die female lead who fights against her inauspicious fate and anyone else who looks down on her and we love her for that (truly. Fuck her shitty ass father)

The two above are the stoic male lead x mischievous female lead type (also the bickering couple type lmao)

Treacherous tragic lying second male lead who keeps spinning a web of lies that will probably definitely backfire one day 🤡

Genuinely kind-hearted second female lead who also has a backbone when it comes down to it

The second couple above is the sweet girl x bad boy type

Sisters who really care about each other and protect each other !!!

COMEDY!??? IN MY TRAGIC ROMANCE FANTASY PERIOD DRAMA??? yes yes, pleaseeee.

Sarcastic servants/right-hand men who literally has no qualms about calling you out and also enjoys punching you to keep your web of lies going 🤡

Supporting characters who are likeable like a mother who will scheme with her son so that her son can impress the girl he likes, pleaseeeee lmao

Couples that are enjoyable and so far not a single one that you want to fast forward

Badass OST by the one and only Sa DingDing (infamous for her song from Ashes of Love but of course she's done many others like a song for The Long Ballad); the one and only Mao Buyi (who also sung for Ashes of Love, Ancient Love Poetry, etc.); and also Liu Yining ! Who sings for literally everything these days, as he should. It's great.
