What a babe 😻
Michael sat in a back table watching his girlfriend about to start her song. She looked like a natural, unlike he was. Her bangs bounced as she introduced herself to the medium crowd, and began the song.
“It’s a long road, and it gets windy. fog is real low and it’s so blinding. Oh i’m trynna steer, trynna take the lead but I feel like the road is steering me. Getting so lost like a castaway, feeling so crossed like a renegade and I’m trynna crawl out in the big city, just a small voice and no one’s listenin’ to me,”
Michael loved her voice. It was a bit raspy but could ease all your worries with the second word she sung. Sometimes he wondered why she wasn’t up in the light where he was. She was so talented and everything that spilled out her mouth was filled with nothing but, passion. Yea, he and the boys worked to get where they were and they had the same passion but hers always felt a bit different. Allison was everything, and he was glad the tour was over so he could support her on her journey the way she did for him along with balancing her rising name.
“Oh! Oh! Tell me where to go, tell me that you know-oh just how bright I glow oh oh.” her chocolate eyes had found his blue ones and they both smiled “everytime that you think you’ve lost your shine just remember nothings brighter, you’re the city lights.”
They held the stare until she hit the chorus again, and when she was finished he greeted her with a smile as she sat beside him.
“You’re amazing.”
“I think you’re just saying that because you’re my boyfriend.” she smiled
“No … well yes partly.” Michael laughed “I’m serious though Ali, you’re amazing. Your voice seems to get better everytime a line comes out of your mouth.”
The two kissed one another and they were both happy. Happy because Michael was finally home, happy because they could spend time with one another without the other feeling bad for something unknown to them. Their hands intertwined and Michael rested his head on Allison’s shoulder like he always did.
“You’re such a girl.” she joked
“Only for you.” he laughed, kissing her shoulder
“We’ve got no money but we’ve got a heart..” ashton listened as the girl sung and wiped off the tables and said hello to her fellow workers.
He’d been coming to this same place for the past two weeks, admiring the girl as weird as it sounded. The curls that framed her face bounced around with every movement she made. Her caramel skin, wide eyes, and pouty lips were one beautiful mixture, especially when she laughed or smiled. Everytime he was about to leave, he tipped her generously and thought about trying to stay back to introduce himself to her but he just couldn’t. He was nervous, she made him nervous and only knew her name from her tag.
This time Ashton sucked it up, and waited for her to come ‘round to their table. He bounced from one leg to another as she drew near him and stopped, a smile already on her face.
“Hi! Is everything okay?” she questioned, eyes trained on him
“No- yea. Yes, everything was good.” he stuttered.
“I’m Ashton.” he coughed out
“Nice to formally meet you Ashton, I’m Kailyn.” she replied sticking her hand out and as they shook, Ashton seen a future flash before his eyes
Them dancing in the middle of the street, making cupcakes in his apartment letting Calum be the guinea pig. Them driving in his car blasting songs from her phone, their laughs filling the space the music couldn’t get to. He pictured waking up next to her, playing in the heep of curls that he adored, and eating breakfast in their underwear while watching Blindspot. He seen it, and he just wish he could skip all the introductions and get right to those moments he’d imagine.
“This is weird and all but, would you like to go out sometime?” his voice sounded more confident than he actually felt
The girl looked at him for a moment. “How’s Saturday? I’m off and I don’t have any assignments for school due.”
His head shook and he soon realized he’d never actually agreed verbally. “Yea, that’s fine. Good, great!”
They exchanged numbers, and Ashton went to sleep with a goofy grin on his face. Kailyn went to sleep with Ashton’s face attached to the back of her eyelids, finally glad the boy she’d been daydreaming about wanted to go out with her.
i haven’t written and posted anything on here in awhile so bare with me

Being back in Sydney was a marvelous feeling. A sense of accomplishment, excitement, and relief filled Luke’s body all at once. It was almost like Christmas time all over again when he came back here. The echo of his coughs bounced off the empty walls as he made his way to the kitchen to grab a beer out of the semi empty fridge; he also made a note to go out and get some groceries. Walking back to the more than empty room, besides the basic mattress, he laid down. The white walls were soon going to be filled with awards, posters, art of some sort, and as his hand ran over the light hardwood floor he thought if he should get a carpet installed. His eyes closed, all the screaming and loud music seemed to fade into the empty walls in front of him, and happy silence filled the void until-
“LUKE! I hope you have clothes on because there’s other people here!” his girlfriend called out
He hesitated for a moment, but got up not bothering to put a shirt on because his joggers should be enough coverage. He found his way to her, and looked at the people coming in and out.
“What is this?”
“It’s a surprise.” she smiled cheerfully “I was going to do all this while you were on tour but, I thought you’d like to spend another night in the empty place before it filled up.”
Luke sat there watching couches, tables, lamps, rugs and other household necessities be carried in, and placed where she told the men to put them. It was all overwhelming, and as much as he loved the gesture he wasn’t quite ready to fill his space up yet. He watched his nestle of comfort become filled with unwanted things but, he just couldn’t speak on it. That smile scattered across his girlfriends beautiful face made him feel at home and to see it crumble just made him feel uneasy.
- 2 Days Later -
Nadine and Luke were currently sprawled across the couch watching some movie he’d downloaded on his laptop. It was merely four thirty when she finally spoke up. Luke seemed a little stressed, and she thought those moments were over since the tour recently ended.
“What’s going on Hemmings? Why have you been so off?” sitting up, she stared Luke right in the face until he mimicked her position
“Nothing, what do you mean?”
“Don’t pull that shit with me.” Nadine warned
“I don’t like any of this. I mean, I do like it.” he began “I just like having nothing? I like having the space to do whatever it is I please. I was going to go furniture shopping when I wanted, and pick out the things I wanted to.”
“Oh.” she began “why didn’t you just say that?”
“Because that look on your face. You look upset, and you know I hate when you look upset.” he groaned getting up, a hand running over his face
“If you don’t like it I can call someone and have them come pick it up.” she began as she got up and wrapped her arms around him from behind. “I just thought it was a nice gesture.”
Luke stared at the picture of him the boys, and Nadine in Mexico. That night was insane from the show to the events that followed. The picture seemed so small in the frame on the wall.
“Can we get this picture blown up?” Luke questioned, Nadine moving to stand beside him
“Of course.”
-Next Day-
Luke and Nadia had got all the things taken back except the couch because Luke thought it was comfortable as fuck and he could work with it. Even though the couch was there, the couple sat on the floor, Luke staring at the picture they’d gotten blown up along with other ones he held in his hand.
“I’m not sure why I like this picture.” he chuckled
“I’m not sure either. Y’all were all sweaty, and I looked wrecked.” she laughed
“You fell right after we took it.”
“Calum pushed me!” she argued with a smile on her face
They both laughed thinking back to the night.
“What are you going to do with the polaroids?”
“I’m going to hang some from the ceiling throughout the house. Almost like chandeliers or something.” he said looking around at the once again empty space
“That’s different.” Nadine smiled getting up and going to the kitchen, Luke following her and jumping up on the counter.
He liked it like this. The open space, the time he spent went Nadine even if she had to leave. In fact, the empty space and his imagination put together set off a whirlwind in the boys’ mind. He pictured Nadine in just a tshirt walking around aimlessly while the music from her phone blared from a wireless speaker. He pictured them dancing while the wind from outside swept around them and they laughed. He pictured him being alone, the boys being there drinking while they played some game on the television he’d soon buy and sing along to songs from one of their phones. The open space had a ton of opportunities and Luke smiled at the thoughts that would soon come to life. He just wanted to fill the space as time went on, the way he imagined it.
