(Luke's P.O.V.)
"Oh my god," I whispered, my heart pounding and my eyes wide. I went straight to my contacts and hit the call button when I found the one I was looking for. After a few short rings, a very annoyed voice picked up.
"What do you want, Luke? It's, like, four in the morning." Calum asked, his voice thick.
"She called." I said, my heart still beating loudly in my chest.
"Who?"
"Clara. Clara called me."
"Wha-She did?" He sounded a lot more awake now than he did before.
"She did." I repeated.
"What did she say?"
"She wanted to talk."
"And did you?"
"No."
"No?" He asked. "What do you mean, no?"
"I-" I stopped, taking a deep breath. "Calum, I need to let go. Talking to her is just going to make me want to be with her again and I can't do that."
"Why, Luke? You were practically still in love with her a few weeks ago, and now you just don't care?"
"Look Calum, I really like Julie. I can't just stop talking to her for some girl who avoided me for at least two weeks."
"Some girl?" He scoffed. "Luke, that girl was in love with you. She cared about you more than anything in the world. Anyone with eyes could see that. You can't just not talk to her now. You need to give her closure."
"You don't get it," I said, leaning back in my bed.
"I don't get it? Luke, I don't think you get it. When you're done with the whole asshole act, come talk to me." Calum snapped, ending the call before I could say another word.
"Fine, asshole," I mumbled, placing my phone back on the stand next to my bed. "Maybe I'm better off without you."
I laid back down on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. Why did she choose now to call me? She's had long enough to try and work this out, and she chooses now? I mean, sure, she's been oblivious to my life and the things that have happened since she left, but I thought that she would have gotten the hint when I stopped calling that I didn't want to talk anymore. She lost her chance and I moved on like she wanted. She shouldn't be trying to fix things now.

"Yeah, she just called and asked to talk," I said, causing Julie to roll her eyes and let out a short laugh. "It was really weird."
"You're over her, right?" Julie asked, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Yeah, totally. Um, speaking of that, I was wondering if you wanted to make things official. Between us. I really like you Julie." I said nervously, my hand scratching the back of my neck.
"Luke, I would love that." She smiled, leaning forward and kissing me. We both smiled into the kiss and when I pulled away, the smiles were still there.
"How about we go grab some lunch?" I suggested, earning a nod from the brunette girl in front of me. Walking out of my house, we got into my car, driving towards a diner that I knew downtown. The whole car ride was loud, with both of us talking and laughing nonstop. It felt good to be happy for once, instead of miserable like I was the week or two before I met Julie at that bar. When we got to the diner, I got out, helping Julie out of the car and taking her hand. Leading her inside, we found a table near the back and sat down, ordering our food almost right away.
We talked a lot, and Clara came up a few times, but I didn't care. I was over her and now I had an amazing, nice, funny, and gorgeous girlfriend that I could make new memories with.

(Clara's P.O.V.)
"H-he hates m-me." I sobbed, clutching onto my pillow. I had been a wreck all day, and now I was sitting in my bedroom across from Eric on my floor.
"Clara, I don't think he hates you. It was early there, he was probably just tired or something." Eric soothed, handing me a few tissues.
"He's n-never talked to m-me like that before, Eric. H-he has t-to." I choked out, reaching next to me for the bottle that would have been there on a normal night. When I felt nothing, the craving set in and my mouth became dry. I needed to feel numb and I needed my thoughts to become fuzzy. Looking under my bed, I saw a few bottles that were unopened and I crawled over, grabbing them and attempting to open them. However, they were ripped from my grasp before I could and I let out another cry.
"Clara, I'm not letting you drink again. Remember what we talked about before?" Eric said, placing the bottles out of my reach.
"You don't understand!" I screamed, my sobs becoming louder and more violent. I laid down on my floor and gripped the pillow I was holding tightly. Eric came over and rubbed my back, whispering calming words.
"Clara, you can't do this to yourself. You're going to get sick." Eric said quietly once I had calmed down a little.
"I-I need it," I whimpered, sitting up and leaning into him, feeling absolutely drained from the events of today.
"No you don't," He whispered. "You need to sleep."
"But I want to drink," I frowned, tears still rolling down my cheeks.
"I'm not going to let you," He said quietly. "You're getting addicted to it and you need to stop before this gets worse."
"I'm not addicted." I stated, shaking my head.
"Yes, you are and it's not good." Eric said, rubbing my arm to keep me calm.
"I am?" I asked, a scared feeling bubbling up inside of me.
"A little bit, but we can get you help. It's not that bad right now." Eric said quickly, probably sensing my fear.
"I don't need help, though. I-I'm okay." I stuttered, shaking my head quickly.
"Okay," Eric said, although he didn't sound convinced. "Listen, I have to go to work now, so you can come with me if you want. Or you can stay here. What do you want to do?"
"I-I'll stay here." I said quietly, looking down at the floor.
"Call me if you need anything at all, okay?" He said standing up and walking to my door. I nodded, still looking down at my floor. He walked out then, leaving my house and shutting the door behind him. When I heard his car leave the driveway, I stood up, walking to my bedroom door and shutting it, locking it as well. I looked to the bottles of alcohol on my desk and walked towards them slowly. I knew that I shouldn't, but I couldn't help it. There was a ringing in my ears that was giving me a headache and I knew that the alcohol would get rid of it. It was the same ringing I heard every night, the one that drove me insane until I was too drunk to think. There were only three bottles, but I knew that I could find more. I cracked one open, chugging the liquid as more tears began to form in my eyes.
"I'm so sorry," I whispered to no one, continuing to drink the poison that would bring me bliss.
As soon as those three bottles were gone, I knew I needed more. My head was spinning and my throat was burning, yearning for more. I stumbled around my room, smiling when I found a half empty bottle of beer from a few nights ago. I chugged that too, moaning as my head began to feel lighter, my thoughts becoming one big blur. I smiled, my eyes wide as I searched my room for more. I practically tore apart my room, throwing clothes and empty bottles around in my hunt for the liquid that would make the world numb. When I didn't find any, I began to cry again, collapsing on top of a pile of glass bottles and dirty clothes. I sobbed into my hands for a few minutes, then reached for my phone, scrolling through my contacts until I found a name I wanted. My fuzzy mind wasn't comprehending my actions and I continued to sob as I held the phone to my ear. After more rings than I could count in that moment, a confused voice filled my ears.
"Hello? Clara?"
"Why does he hate me?" I slurred, my sobs making me sound crazy.
"Clara, are you drunk?"
"Why Ashton? Did I screw up? I'm sorry, okay?" I yelled, my sobs getting stronger.
"What are you talking about?" He asked, sounding extremely confused.
"He h-hates me. I'm so drunk, holy shit." I sobbed, my thoughts still spinning.
"Are you talking about Luke?" Ashton asked, making me sob even harder.
"Mhmm," I whimpered.
"Have you talked to him?"
"He didn't want to talk to me." I frowned, wiping my eyes.
"What do you mean, Clara?" Ashton asked, talking slowly.
"He was like, 'It's early, can we talk later?' and then when I said no he," I paused, sobbing for a few seconds as I recalled what happened. "He refused to talk to me."
"Do you want me to talk to him for you?" Ashton asked, making my eyes wide.
"No!" I yelled. "He hates me, remember?"
"Oh, sorry." Ashton giggled.
"I need another drink," I slurred, trying to stand up, but falling on top of a bottle. It broke, a piece of glass going into my arm. I screamed in pain, watching as blood started trailing down my arm.
"Clara?!" Ashton yelled into the phone.
"I'm bleeding," I slurred, sobbing as a new pain shot up my arm.
"Call an ambulance! Is anyone with you?" He asked over the phone.
"I'm alone." I sobbed, watching the blood stain my clothes and my floor.
"Clara, you need to call someone. You sound seriously hurt."
"No! Eric will be so mad at me," I sobbed.
"Who's Eric?"
"My f-friend. I t-told him I wouldn't drink but I did and he's gonna hate me like everyone else."
"Clara, call him. You need to go to the hospital." Ashton said sternly, making me flinch and shake my head.
"Don't make me." I whimpered, looking down at the small pool of blood on the floor. I started to feel very light headed and I fell backwards, no longer able to hold myself up.
"You have to, Clara. Or call your parents."
"They can't know I'm drunk." I said, my words becoming even more slurred.
"I can't help you from here." He said, sounding defeated. I felt my sobs stop soon, but tears still continued to fall. I wished that Luke had wanted to talk to me, he would have made me feel better. If he were here, I wouldn't be drinking in the first place. He would be holding me in his arms and we would be watching a movie and cuddling or something. I smiled at the thought, then looked down at my arm, seeing a bright red puddle on my floor.
"I'm bleeding a lot," I mumbled, my eyes getting wider. I started to see little black dots and my head felt like it was filled with air. I dropped my phone, closing my eyes and soon slipping into unconsciousness.
So this is my first little blurb that I have ever posted EVER so be really honest and tell me if it sucks:D okay?
When I wake up, I can feel Luke’s slow breathing from behind me and I smile. Rarely do I ever wake up before him.
Deciding to make breakfast, I carefully get out of bed and quietly make my way to the kitchen. I find a waffle iron and start mixing some batter. When I close the lid so the first waffle could cook, two strong arms wrap around my waist and a scruffy chin rests on my shoulder. I smile and turn around, wrapping my arms around is neck.
“What are you doing up up at 8:30 on a Sunday?” He asks, a groggy smile on his face.
“Making my boyfriend waffles,” I murmur. “I figured it would be nice to make you breakfast because you’re always making stuff for me.”
He rests his chin on top of my head,
“You’re the best.” He mumbles sleepily, planting a kiss on my hair.
