The teenager's roughed up hand grasped another branch of the large old tree, traveling higher and higher at a gradual pace. Barbie's footing was placed in another area to assist in the climbing, attempting to make it even closer to the top than she already was. Despite cursing herself for the utter stupidity and immaturity of this act, she was joyed at how much she could climb so high. It was all over those silly little children telling her once more how she was 'too old' to climb the tree, and not learning her lesson last time, she decided to climb once more. Naturally, it was later in the evening now and the children were gone, but she wanted to prove a point to herself more than anything.
"--Aha, I definitely can climb it!" Barbie exclaimed happily, sitting lopsidedly on a branch. Uh-oh. Unfortunately for her, this was her downfall -- literally. Within moments she came tumbling down, hitting enough, yet not too many, branches on the way down. At the last second, her scrapped up hand was able to roughly catch a one before her grip slipped away, hitting the ground hard. She rolled over, groaning badly in pain -- her whole body ached intensely. Attempting to stand was a bad idea, as she swayed and then stumbled backwards, her back colliding with something before falling on her bottom. Oh wait. That something was a someone. Glancing up while groaning once more, her expression was very apologetic.
