I have no idea, either, but at least I know a few people from church, even if I don’t hang out with anyone. If you show up often enough to something (church, coffeeshop, library) folks might get to recognize your face and ease into greeting you and stuffs.
Yes, I’ve definitely thought about just becoming a “regular” somewhere. But then I should probably make eye contact with a human or two. :)

Omg, I know this struggle. I’ve moved to this city exactly 1 year ago and I’ve met 2 people so far. Both were neighbor ladies who - on separate occasions - needed my help after getting locked outside by their abusive partners. Now I’m /definitely/ sure my fellow introverts are hiding inside. We need a bat-signal or something. Life here is lonely. :-/
Ugh, yes. A bat-signal would be perfect. And then a gathering place where introverts can meet up and hang out with minimal interaction while feeling like we’re being social.
