Man I love this every time I’m like “they left this unexplained!” someone can slide into the spotlight holding up an obscure spinoff or bit of extra material to fill in the gaps. Fate franchise is an enormous monster
I’m digging this--I would absolutely love a storyline that drew up deliberate parallels between these two, and again, given that the Fate characters have the opportunity to know the legends that their Servants come from, you could even have Aoi reading and learning about the Arthurian stories and empathising with Guinevere. There are so many opportunities to get meta here and I love the idea of like, Aoi maybe finding solace in those old stories--in a “non-heroic” character she wouldn’t normally be expected to--and saying to herself “I will be as dedicated as that queen” or something. Or at least feeling less alone.
Or, more literally, Guinevere is somehow summoned to the modern day and she and Aoi have tea together and support each other. Kariya and Lancelot yell together. Tokiomi and Saber are very confused because suddenly they are direct parallels to each other and they’ve never even interacted
