SexualityHeadcanon: Biromantic demisexual!Gender Headcanon: Cis maleA ship I have with said character: Oh boy. Oh god. Are you ready for this???HERE WE GO! In no particular order of preferences: Amasai, Oumasai, Saimota,Saimatsu, Saiibo (also the OT6 of Kaede, Shuichi, Rantaro, Kaito, K1-B0, andKokichi). I seriously CANNOT get enough of these six characters living togetherand loving each other in a consensual, happy, respecting polyamorousrelationship. Sure, they are all so very different from each other and they dohave their arguments and disagreements, but they come back together in the endbecause deep down they really love each other. Yes, they even love Kokichi verymuch despite all his antics. Oh, and Saiiruma mostly for the kinky shit.A BROTP I have with said character: Saigiri! And GontaxShuichi. But lemme talkabout Saigiri for a bit: Kyoko is Shuichi’s boss and partner as a detective andas a mentor. She sees great potential in Shuichi to be a fantastic detective,so she pushes him hard and challenges him to realize that potential. She givesonly a limited amount of praise and is mostly silent when he does good work, buthe quickly picks up on her aloof responses. He knows that he’s doing well even withouther saying that directly to him since he knows she’s not one to lavish anyonewith a lot of praise. Instead, she’ll go behind his back to the other coworkersat the local bar after the workday and gush about his performance in typicalKyoko fashion.A NOTP I have with said character: Hmmm, not really. Except with maybe Tsumugi.He really hates it when she calls him “Sweetchi” or even worse—“Sweet Cheeks.”A random headcanon: He has a social anxiety disorder and an avoidantpersonality. He’s aware of this and absolutely hates it since it diminishes hisquality of life, but if he travels somewhere with someone he knows and trust(see the OT6), then he feels immensely better. Despite having these disorders,he still tries his best in his detective work, often feeling courageous enoughto talk to people directly and ask them questions. Of course, Kyoko is one fabulouscoach! She’s a mentor to him and tough to be sure, but he feels like he canapproach her with a few things and ask for her advice. She puts a lot ofemphasis on Shuichi figuring things out for himself, but she makes sure to givehim enough insight and clues to guide him in the right direction. Oh, andShuichi loooooooooooves to watch Law and Order, especially the Special VictimsUnit series. He usually solves the crimes before the show’s detectives lol, buthe still enjoys it and runs a blog that analyzes and gushes about the variouscharacters through memes. He watches other detective shows but SVU seems to behis favorite. His lovers of the OT6 joke that he’s like an old man sitting on arocking chair smoking a pipe for watching so many crime dramas, but he doesn’tmind this.General Opinion over said character: I love him to death. I see so much ofmyself within him that I just find comfort whenever I think about him or seehim grow from a shy, evading boy to a competent detective who’s not gonna takeMonokuma’s bullshit anymore. It was quite the transformation! And I thought tomyself, wow, here’s this shy kid who lacks confidence in himself in taking thelead during times of uncertainty, and he grows throughout the game enough tohave the backbone to stand up for himself and break free of the game entirely.Of course, he had a lot of help throughout the game, but I feel like hispersonality, mannerisms, and transformation are all extremely relatable. Atleast for me, haha. Looking at him go through all of that and come out evenbetter gives me a small bit of hope for myself.

SexualityHeadcanon: Demiromantic bisexualGender Headcanon: Cis femaleA ship I have with said character: Lemme have dat goooood Kaimaki! I love thisship to pieces. It’s not one of my OTPs per say, but oooooooohhhh it grabbed meby the heart and refused to let go. I feel like some in the fandom say that it’sforced or it only really happens in chapter 5, but I’ve been noticing somechanges in Maki’s character over Kaito throughout the game before chapter 5. Itseems like chapter 5 is just the climax or culmination of Maki’s feelings forKaito that were developing slowly throughout the rest of the game. It wasn’tuntil Kaito’s life was directly in danger because of Kokichi’s plan did theemotions burst from Maki. Whoooooooops! I didn’t expect to talk this much aboutthis ship, so let’s talk about something else! Also, I ship Harumatsu to someextent.A BROTP I have with said character: Harumatsu—I really thought that I was gonnaship Kaede and Maki together pretty hard after looking at the promo art of them…butthis is not the case. Their interactions in canon were pretty lack-luster, andthere’s no love hotel scene between the two of them so it’s hard to getsomething going. Despite this, I can still ship them as a prep gf and a goth gfbecause why not but also as two girls who have each other’s back! I also shipRantaroxMaki as a BrOTP and MakixKirumi, hell even, RantaroxMakixKirumi as aBrOTP because I believe that they’d make the best babysitting team and wouldrisk their lives for the protection of the children. Just…don’t let themanywhere near Towa City.A NOTP I have with said character: Uuuhh, nope. Not a one, I think. Except withTsumugi.A random headcanon: She never uses her stone-cold stare around the very smallkiddies. They don’t need that kind of drama. And although she says that shehates kids, there’s some part in her heart that really warms up around them,you know? Whenever a small kiddie approaches her, she never baby-talks them.She always talks to them like an adult, but she engages in various forms ofplay with them from coloring books, talking through stuffed animals, buildingblocks and legos, and reading to them. She secretly doesn’t mind taking care ofthem…but if anyone—even Kaito—walks in on her being soft around the kiddos, she’llshoot them her trademark death glare until they run out of the room, slammingthe door behind them lol.General Opinion over said character: I like her. I didn’t really like her coldexterior in the beginning, but she warmed up on me. I especially grew fonder ofher when I saw her emotional outburst to protect her friends in chapter 5.Hell, even before that, I started liking her when she was gradually warming upto Shuichi and Kaito and absolutely blowing them out of the water duringtraining lol. And she didn’t give in to Kaito’s archaic bullshit of how women shouldn’t fight and should stay home andtake care of kids. Maki was just like ‘fuck that’ and proceeded doing 100pushups in like 10 minutes or so, haha. I feel like she, Rantaro, and Kirumiwould be excellent tag-team babysitters as they look after a bunch of kids (andget paid in the process).
