Wasn't part of what makes 682 so dangerous is that he can adapt to whatever is trying to kill him, making them apprehensive about using some of their most extreme measures for fear of what might happen if it fails to kill 682?
He is highly adaptive, yes, and the point of him is that he is incredibly hard to kill–but there’s a work-around in the article. They take samples from him and test those “extreme measures” on those samples before even attempting to test them on 682 himself.
So they’ve even canonically found a way around his adaptability, and while the acid bath isn’t 100% fool-proof, neither are plenty of other SCPs’ containment units and procedures. He’s contained by the acid bath well enough that he’s only breached containment six times, compared to SCPs like, again, 106.
There are SCPs who are more dangerous, harder to contain, and harder to collect samples from, and they haven’t been given termination orders.
I’m not saying 682 isn’t a threat; I’m saying that putting him on a “TERMINATE ASAP” list wasn’t necessary, and conflicts with the continued existence of other, more dangerous SCPs. If the foundation continues to allow more dangerous SCPs to exist, it follows that 682 should also be allowed to exist. He is FAR from top dog in the foundation.
But he is top dog in my heart.
Could we please see more of Red switching power and toughness? It doesn't show up that much, particularly in a way that can affect opposing creatures.
It's causes a bunch of rules confusion so we've dialed it down a bit.
The sad thing is that there actually was a Pokemon game with a difficulty setting, Black 2/White 2. Not only did it have increased levels (as one might expect), but more Pokemon and hold items for gym leaders and the elite four. Furthermore, the AI for all trainers was a lot smarter. It's incredibly sad that it never happened again. (As a side note, I kinda count Nanu as a dark-type gym leader but that's just me.)
Despite introducing my favorite pokemon, Black and White are the one generation I never played. I just didn’t have money or time that whole three year period!

I know it's probably a long shot, but I'm hoping for two kinds of new Pokemon in Ultra SuMo. 1. New Ultra Beasts (On account of it being ULTRA SuMo) and 2. Gen 2 Alolan Pokemon (With Gen 2 being released on the VC, this seems like a good time. I can already think of a few, like Mantine and maybe Pineco/Forretress to take Exeggcute/Exeggutor's place)
WHERE IS MY ALOLAN FURRET
On the topic of niche mechanics/themes (like energy) and returns, could we see those kinds of mechanics crop up in supplemental sets? Like, say, one of the commander decks in a year working with energy or a colorless theme in a set of Conspiracy/whatever other cool ideas you come up?
Supplemental sets are a good place to do some of that.
If you don't mind sharing, why is it exactly that illusion-based Jaces haven't made it into sets? Anything in particular? Did they just not fit the environment?
I'm not sure. I think it's only a matter of time until we see one.
