Shoes and stockings were definitely not required for the beach. When she saw the sand they were gone immediately and so was she. There was no beach near St. Ivalice, and the Ivalice she was teleported to had too many fiends to enjoy the trip.
Ear to ear, she couldn’t remember the last time she smiled so wide. The last time she had gone, well, it had been years. Ever since her father got the business job and her mother was basically single-parenting Ritz there wasn’t time. But in this world, she was her own parent she made the decisions. She could go anywhere she wanted, whenever and didn’t always need someone with her. Which mean she could run in the water, swimsuit or not. Which she did, but stopped as water skimmed against the bottom of her dress (She was parent-less not insane, she didn’t have a spare set of clothes on her at the moment.).
The water wasn’t freezing but she did expect it to be a little bit warmer. Feeling the goosebumps prickle her skin she shivered. That was okay though, she would take the bitter cold in exchange. Her hands scooped some other liquid up and flicked it into the air. Another couple of minutes of playing around she finally shuffled out, the sand now clung to her feet as if calling her back to the ocean.
Perhaps she should have been concerned with where she was but for all she cared she could stay here for good. All she needed was Shara to show up and she’d be set. There were cars here and she had stopped at the restaurant before playing in the sand. It was so similar to home but all you did was take the boring parts out. She sighed and sat down where the grass met the sand, there was still time in the day to do so much more!
