There were many things she'd learned over the years. One of them was to never ask when someone decided to hide in the strangest of places. But given the fact they were in the middle of the city, hiding in a hedge seemed more than just a bit strange. If anything, Talia was thinking she didn't want to know why whomever this was had decided to hide in a hedge not far from the building she lived in. A part of her wondered if maybe he was there because Bruce needed to keep an eye on her. It wasn't something she would ever put past him given how many of his protégés watched over him when she returned to the city.

               ❛  it’s a science , but ! there’s room to believe ... ❜ ever the optimist , this one. knows that within the world they occupy , a variety of possibilities lie. this notion of the IMPOSSIBLE is no more , a thing of the past -- if it ever proved to be of the present. looks to scientist , curiosity regarding all he has endured running rampant. solely within mind , of course, she aims to be respectful despite ever - prominent air of excitement that envelops form. aims to maintain some semblance of professionalism , but intrigue regarding other’s endeavors can hardly be contained ! see , in the ways in which mouth is censored , eyes & lithe limbs are not. optics dance with mirth , legs only find comfort in shifting weight every so often. clearly , there’s no place she could quite possibly desire to be.

     As Kate pays for her drink at the coffee shop, she pauses to glance behind her. She motions with a hand for the man behind her to step up.

     " Can I pay for you? " she offers. " Consider it like, me cashing in on that sweet, sweet karma. "

     She grins, nose crinkling into the smile she gives.

He had desired to end this conflict with haste, defeat his opponent with a series of well timed blows, whilst not drawing blood. They were meant to be heroes after all, somehow different from the fiends that imperilled innocent lives. And yet, the blond, stripped of his worth who saw his divinity mocked with the loss of his power appeared to forget what fighting for a cause greater than himself meant.      And that wasn’t all that he had lost sight of recently.

“You rise again with tiresome repetition, yet I do not understand. In how many different ways must I stress that I am well and do NOT require aid?”

Bright blue hues peer at the other with suspicion, convinced he had a part to play in the chaos that had unfurled itself here mere moments ago. With the danger since past, order restored by the barest threat of action as he reached for that uru mallet, Thor drops his hand by his sides, intent on gathering answers. And more importantly; an explanation. 

“The creatures that we fought were unlike any that I have witnessed in my travels throughout the realms. Where did they originate from? For what reason do they attack us?”
